From one second to another everything changed. Instead of laughing and dancing people now were panicking and screaming. Scared and afraid. The darkest chocolate and the sourest berry I have tasted to that moment. Quickly, I shut my senses down.

Looking around I could see none of my family and also Myra seemed to be gone. Slowly I began to panic. My stomach felt too light and I thought I needed to throw up, when Alais pulled on my arm.

"Come Bel. Quick! We need to get out of here!"

"But what about mum and dad? And Myra?", I asked. I felt that he himself was not happy with the situation but he still told me "They are probably fine. We need to care about ourself now, Abella."

Stumbeling behind him, I cursed the dress for being so impractical. Luckily I renounced from wearing high heels. Pulling Alais in a little niche, I tried to make a slid in the dress so I could run better. When it took too long, my brother took the matter into his hands and ripped the dress open. For him it was no problem due to his superstrenght he got at his eighteenth birthday. Along with hightened senses.

It was a commom power, by which some had theirs more or less strong.

After looking if the hallway was free, we ran towards my room. It was the nearer than Alais room and we needed the weapons I had there. Running there was like running trough an open field and not knowing when somebody might shoots you with his arrow.

I did not know what was going on. Actually scratch that! I knew that we were getting attacked. But why and from who? This is a safe and secret place. We lived here for over ten years and nothing ever happened.

Hurling in my room I closed the door behind us. Breathing heavy I leaned my sweaty forehead against the door and closed my eyes. I stood there for a couple seconds before I pulled myself together and helped Alais getting the weapon ready. I put a dagger around the thigh where the slid in the dress is and also shouldered a couple arrows for my bow.

"Who is that?", I asked but I already knew an answer. "For sure those freaking Royals!", he confirmed my apprehension.

The Royals were the soldiers working for the king and queen of the Crimor Empire after they won the war 120 years ago. A war were all of the Okarcia Kingdom -the fromer Crimor Empire- fought against the evil king and queen but eventually they were too strong to defeat and they had to many soldiers and alliances. Even other kindomds supported them like the Nuren Kingdom, home of the waterfolk, or the Ditis Kingdom, home to the pixies and goblins, because they were too afraid for themselves.

Many still blame them for what they did. But they are now trying to make up for it by supporting various rebell and alliancing with us. Still they are not only doing it because of goodness of heart but because now they are also threathened. Threathened because although the king and queen have a whole empire they still crave more, are obsessed with the thought of more power and more people to rule.

"We need to get to the roof, so that we have a better view on the situation", I told my brother. Nodding he conscricted the belt of the sheath around his hips before drawing out the sword. Sadly I only had one here, but it must do the job.

Outside of my room there were still screams heard as well as the clashing of metal on metal. People were making sounds of agony, of fear and of pain. My power almost got too much of me. Wanted to be free, being used. It was drawn to strong feelings and this many people with this much going on are defnitely strongly pulling on it.

"We should go up by the balcony", Alais suggested. I saw that he wanted me to not be here, that he wanted me in safety and gave him credit for not trying to pursue me to hide.
