prologue

In the land of Alaria, there was a king who treated everyone he met kindly. but then one day he learned that he was going to die due to a disease in one month. So he had to make a very difficult decision that will affect the entire timeline for Alaria, who would he choose to be the next ruler after he dies, his spoiled son Alexander, or his kind daughter Rose Ann. To make his decision, he had to look into the future of each timeline to see what his children would do with this new found power of ruling the country. his son Alexander would abuse his power as king to only benefit himself, and for everyone else, let's just say that there was a bunch of disease, famine, and despair in the kingdom. but on the other hand, rose Ann used her power as queen to help the people with the crops so that no one starves to death, and she helped donate a bunch of her money to the hospital so that no one else has to spend a bunch of money so that their loved ones get better, and when she saw a sad face she gave them some kindness and comfort to make them feel better. and she was so busy helping out other people she never helped herself. so the king chose Rose Ann to rule over the kingdom when he died. but that only made Alexander angry and filled him with hatred and envy, and he was so angry that he decided to learn the dark arts of magic, and he became so powerful that he had the power to create and destroy a universe, and he only studied for 1 day! Then he met up with the king in the library, then he used that magic to kill him. Then when he saw his sister he changed her into a mindless monster under his control. Then he let the darkness he had form all over his body, then he changed from a human to a dragon with 10,000 heads, then he granted he and his now monster sister the gift of immortality. Then he immediately took over the kingdom, all of those who tried to take Alexander down were eaten by the mindless monster Rose Ann. Many then called Alexander the great darkness, and they called this era, the dark age. and then he caused disease, famine and despair in the kingdom, and all of the royal knights and warriors were killed so that they could be part of Alexander monster and skeleton army. Then 993 years after Alexander took over Alaria, a man named Jasper found a way to take down Alexander and possibly find a way to bring Rose Ann back to her real form and make sure she stays the same age that she was when Alexander made her into a mindless monster. but unfortunately he was too old to fight Alexander, so he trained a 10 year old boy named Leo for 7 years to master his abilities and learn how to defeat the great darkness. When he learned how to defeat the great darkness he immediately left and went to take on the great darkness, meanwhile Alexander is afraid that someone will take him down soon so he found 20 monsters and gave them 2 times the usual strength of the monster that they are, and he called them the remnants of darkness. But he wanted 21 remnants, then an evil man named Stephen went to Alexander and asked to join the remnants, because unlike everyone else in the kingdom, Stephen actually likes what Alexander is doing. so Alexander made him remnant number 21, and the power that Alexander gave him was so powerful that he could enter other people's dreams and cause despair for all those in the kingdom. He later became known as the dream beast. Then just to make sure that none of the remnants betray him he puts them under his control with a dark crystal, and the only way to take it down is by killing the monsters. Then when Leo got to the castle, he was attacked by a skeleton army, but he could take them down. but before he could battle Alexander and the possessed Rose Ann, he had to defeat Stephen. Which he did defeat him, but Leo showed Stephen some mercy by not killing him, instead he banished him into the world of dreams for all eternity. but sadly Leo did not know that was actually Stephen's goal in the first place, and that is how became known as the dream beast. Then he went to take on the great darkness, then he defeated both Alexander and Rose Ann, then he sealed them away from the world and banished them into a stained glass window, and put the stained glass window in a temple to the far east of alaria. After 1000 years of the dark age the great darkness was finally sealed away. but unfortunately he forgot that he was supposed to free Rose Ann and revert her back to the age she was when Alexander possessed her. but either way he was rewarded with riches and a place to live in the castle. but unfortunately, since Alexander and Rose Ann were sealed away and they both had no children there are actually no royal family members left, and also Leo and jasper don't know how to bring rose Ann back without releasing Alexander as well. So then Leo chose a new royal family to rule, and he was given the title the grand wizard. but he was also afraid that Alexander and Rose Ann would break the seal and wreak havoc once again, and that around that time he would probably be too old to fight. So he came up with an idea, that throughout alarias history, a test would begin, and this test will prove who will be the next one to have the grand wizard's powers, would it be the purest in the kingdom, or a warrior who at least took down one monster. and this would repeat forever more in alarias history.
