chapter 16, the gargoyle

after a while, Flynn and Floof floof reached a temple that looked like the dark temple were they were supposed to go but there were two differences. one of the differences was that the temple had a cave below the temple, and the second difference a book talking about the temple where they are supposed to go saying that the temple had no gargoyles while this temple did. "well well well, we have finally reached the dark temple. no i shall kill the spigon once and for all and become the true hero!" shouted Christopher with pride in his voice. "oh hey Christopher about that...." said Flynn, but Christopher had no time to listen to Flynn and ran off into the temple that is not where they are supposed to go. then Flynn heard a scream in the temple, so Flynn and Floof floof  ran into the temple to see that Christopher had been turned to a stone gargoyle! "HOLY SHEEP! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN!" shouted Flynn in absolute shock. and how he realized that the stone gargoyle was Christopher was that Christopher always had a very specific bag in his hand, and the gargoyle had that bag around his arm. and also the scream that Flynn heard sounded like Christopher's scream. and he knows what his scream was like when he found him with big foot. so yep that gargoyle was definitely Christopher, but the question was who turned him to stone? then he heard something growl behind him, and when he looked back he was in absolute shock! it was a giant gargoyle that resembled a devil looking creature! then the gargoyle shot some sort of beams out of his eyes, and then it hit a dove that was flying by getting food for it's baby's, then the poor dove turned to a stone gargoyle! it all made sense, that giant gargoyle used it's eye beam's to turn Christopher into stone and quite possibly more innocent people. so Flynn had to avoid being turned into a stone gargoyle and stop the gargoyle at the same time, and to make matter's worse, it had a dark crystal, which meant that this monster was also a remnant of darkness. then while Floof floof was running, Flynn tried to think of a way to stop the gargoyle. then it instantly hit him, there are two weakness's of a gargoyle, one is were at day the turn into normal gargoyles, but it was still day so obviously that wouldn't work. so he had to go with the other option, which was were he had to get the gargoyle far away from his pedestal, which would decrease the great force of power he has, and weaken his body. so he got on Floof floof and ran away, and the gargoyle also fallowed them. they had to run for quite a long period of time, but in the end it was worth it. because they got it so far away from it's pedestal that it shrank to the size of a normal sized gargoyle. "take this you blockhead!" shouted Flynn as he sliced the gargoyle with the monster sword. then Flynn and Floof Floof continued their journey to the real dark temple. then they noticed Christopher on the road,so they had the comfort of knowing that everyone who had been turned to stone had been set free.
