"hey thanks for saving me Flynn, i guess you really aren't just some weakling brat" said Christopher in a both thankful and rude voice. "thank you Christopher, your words are both rude and kind." said Flynn with mixed feelings in his voice. then suddenly they reached a beach near the east coast. Christopher and Flynn decided take a break and relax on the beach, because they figured they needed a break, they had about 2 hours of relaxation. but after those 2 hours, they heard a growl at the beach's cave that was hidden by some very tall vines. then something jumped out of the hidden cave, and it was a griffin! and like every single monster Flynn has ran into, it had a dark crystal which meant that it was a dark remnant. and immanently Christopher tried to give the griffin his pet owl snowflake as a sacrifice to the griffin. "um hey, you kept on telling us that you served in a war right? then why are you afraid of something like this. shouldn't you be very brave or something." said Flynn. "i am not afraid of this griffin, in fact i am the opposite of afraid!" said Christopher with pride in his voice. "THEN DON'T TRY TO SACRIFICE YOUR OWL AND ATTACK IT YOU COWARD!" shouted Flynn. "um.......okay i never served in a war, i have only killed a ogre." said Christopher with not as much pride in his voice. "but please don't tell anyone! otherwise i will be jail for 6 months to a year for the stolen valor act." said Christopher begging for mercy. "oh yes, i totally won't tell the king a soon as we get back." said Flynn with sarcasm in his voice. "thanks kid i will give you something as soon as we get back" said Christopher with belief in his voice. and of course, Flynn was being sarcastic, but Christopher was so dumb that he believed Flynn. then Flynn remembered that griffins are not smart, and the cannot swim and love stake, so Flynn used that to his advantage. so he jumped into the water with stake on him, and the griffin fallowed with no regret. but then sadly before you can say "eye" the griffin died from drowning. then when Flynn tried to swim back up to the surface, something grabbed on to his leg. and it was not the griffin because the griffin had already died. so it had to be something else, but when Flynn looked down he saw a dark crystal glowing, which meant that whatever this was, it was a remnant of darkness.
