Hyacinthus kept- well, at he tried- to keep a neutral expression as he waited for Apollo's answer.
"He's..." Apollo started. "he's my-"
"Did you really think I would inquire about your love life? That is disgusting." Artemis said, chuckling to herself.
Hyacinthus didn't get the joke. Apollo did not get the joke either.
Artemis noticed their lack of laughter, and quickly composed herself with an abrupt ahem. "You're welcome to stay, though the some of the Hunters are here recovering." she said this with a tone that clearly forbade anyone from interacting with her followers. "And why are you here again?"
"He's getting chased by a god." Apollo said, pointing to Hyacinthus.
"I'm getting chased by a god." Hyacinthus agreed, nodding his head.
"Excuse me?" Artemis said. "You are the god of sun, can't you just blast him to smithereens like Chronis?"
Hyacinthus gritted his teeth, grinding softly.
"What do you mean? She died of natural causes." Apollo said.
"If you say so."
"Anyway," Apollo coughed into his fist. "My dear sister, I will have to bother you to stay at our birthplace for a temporary period of time."
"Yes, you will be bothering me, sadly." Artemis replied.
"You weren't supposed to answer that."
"I know." Artemis stared at Apollo.
"Look here, you little midget-"
"I'm not the one crashing for the night-"
"Oh, so now it's my fault, eh-"
"Hi, hi, hi, settle down-" Hyacinthus said, waving his hands. "Where will we be staying? Is there a port in Delos? Can I meet your followers? Most importantly, what are we eating?"
Artemis looked up, her foot planted in Apollo's face with his hands stretching towards her neck. "Hm? Oh, um. Where will he staying?" she glanced down, pushing Apollo away from her.
"In my residence." Apollo said. He waved a hand over his face, the dirt from Artemis's sandal disappearing.
"You'll be eating ambrosia, I guess?" Artemis continued.
"He can't eat ambrosia, he'll burn up." Apollo said, creasing his brows.
"Oh, yeah, that minor issue. There is an abundance of nature and wildlife here, you can hunt yourself. And no, you can not meet my babies- I mean- my- the Hunters."
"Okay, will do." Hyacinthus said, smiling weakly. In retrospect, going with Zephyrus seemed safer than staying with these two immortal twins, as different as- well, the sun and moon.
i started (and finished lol) demon slayer today! and it's so adorable, minus all the gore and stuff
