who's ready for hyacinthus to die
"Hello," the one on the right said. "My name is Ambrose."
"This is Ambrose, Ambrose, and Ambrose." he gestured to the remaining sylphs.
"They're all named Ambrose?"
"Yup, that's right." Apollo said, looking a little awkward with Hyacinthus's discus.
"I'm disappointed but not surprised." Hyacinthus responded, exasperated.
"Anyway, let's get started!" Apollo exclaimed, throwing the discus to Ambrose no. 1. Ambrose no. 1 stumbled for a moment, then righted the circle flat thing.
"Um, sir?" Ambrose no. 1 said, looking to his fellow Ambrose's. "We haven't been taught how to play discus-"
"What am I paying you for?" Apollo said, slightly annoyed.
"You don't pay us, and we're just wind spirits. We usually just guide the clouds-"
"It's easy," Hyacinthus said, bending down to draw a circle in the ground. "this thing, is called a discus circle."
"We'll fight over who goes first later, but the most important thing is that you start in the discus circle. Stepping outside, dropping your discus, and using both hands or any other body part results in a penalty." Hyacinthus said. "and-"
"You know how to play discus?" Apollo asked, blinking innocently.
"Did you forget I'm the one who asked to play?"
"Uh... I remember the kiss-"
"Anyway," Hyacinthus said, loudly interrupting Apollo's words. "Put your hand on the top of the discus, that's the hand you're going to throw with, and a hand supporting the discus on the bottom. Spread your fingers like so." he demonstrated, thumb wandering off away from his index finger.
"Position the discus., Hyacinthus hefted the bronze piece of metal in his hand. "with your chin aligning with your knee, take off with your right foot."
Hyacinthus began a slow run, shifting his body weight on each foot. "Now pivot your right foot to the ground and switch positions and don't forget to lift your shoulders."
"Then your hip kinda follows your throw." he threw the discus in the air, watching it fly past.
"Did everyone get that?"
Ambrose 1, 2, 3, and 4 nodded. Ambrose no.2 slapped Apollo.
"Yes- what, sorry, what?" Apollo said, blinking.
"He got it." Hyacinthus decided. "Now, should we roll dice for who goes first?"
In the end, Ambrose no.3 went first, Ambrose no.1 second, Apollo third, Hyacinthus fourth, Ambrose no. 4 fifth, and Ambrose no.2 last.
The first two turns went by quickly for Apollo, who was lost in his own thoughts. He stepped into the discus circle and took the discus from Ambrose no.1. He had been feeling a cold, empty feeling that even Hyacinthus's kiss could not cure. To be truthful, he was a bit worried. He had felt this way when he was going to face Python, and right after he teased Eros, which resulted in him losing Daphne.
Apollo threw the discus, the piece of metal sliding through his fingers and whipping through the wind.
He watched it go for a moment, before Hyacinthus ran off to get it. The wind- he felt nervous for some reason. The West Wind's face of rage was absolutely disgusting. Ew. But, why was the wind especially cold now-?
"Hyacinthus, don't!" Apollo started running as fast as he could, feet ripping through the grass and flowers. He should've seen this coming-
"What?" Hyacinthus said, his brow raised in confusion, not noticing the discus rebounding towards him.
"No!"
