Chapter 5: Mirror Mirror...

"So you guys have a lot of magic here in Auradon? Like wands and things like that?" Mal asked as Ben led us into the lobby of the school.

"Yeah, it exists of course, but it's pretty much retired. Most of us here are just ordinary mortals." Ben said. Of course, he would be modest, he's the king. I mean, on the Isle we barely have space for all of us to live, much less wi-fi or magic.

"Who happened to be kings and queens," I commented from behind Mal.

"That's true. Our royal blood goes back hundreds of years." Audrey bragged from next to Ben, also taking the chance to wrap Ben's arm over her shoulders. I may not be an expert, but I think everyone here can tell how toxic the relationship between Audrey and her arm candy is. I mean, she's clutching onto him for dear life, how healthy can that really be?

"Doug. Doug, come down." Ben detached himself from Audrey and waved over a dorky-looking kid in a marching band outfit.

"This is Doug. He's going to help you with your class schedules and show you the rest of the dorms." Ben told us, introducing Doug.

"I'll see you later, okay?" Ben said, talking more to Mal than the rest of us, "And if there is anything you need, feel free to-"

"Ask Doug," Audrey said, cutting off Ben and dragging him away.

"Hi, guys. I'm Dopey's son. As in Dopey, Doc, Bashful, Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, and..." He introduced himself, "Heigh-ho." He finished looking directly at Evie.

"Evie. Evil queen's daughter." Evie walked up to Doug, clearly recognizing the look he was giving her. I looked between the two a few times, I may not be an expert, but they would definitely make an adorable couple.

"Okay. So about your classes," He said, attempting to focus back on his work. I followed Mal and walked behind him, looking over his shoulder at our new schedules. "I, uh, put in the requirements already... history of woodsmen and pirates, safety rules for the Internet, and, uh..." He stumbled, trying not to offend us, "remedial goodness 101."

"Let me guess. New class?" I asked and he nodded nervously.

"Come on, guys, let's go find our dorms," Mal said, eating a piece of candy and throwing the wrapper on the ground.

Jay, Carlos, and Evie all followed Mal up the stairs that were to our left. Doug looked back up from his paperwork and dreamily watched Evie go up the stairs.

"It's not that way is it?" I asked Doug who was still staring at Evie.

"Oh, uh, yeah, your dorms are that way, guys." Doug snapped out of it and pointed the other way. Everyone filed down the stairs and started going in the direction that Doug had pointed.

"Dopey, Doc, Bashful, Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, and..." Doug counted on his fingers, trying to remember which uncle he was missing.

"Sneezy." Carlos and I finished for him before following the rest of the group.

Doug led us down the maze of hallways and down to our dorms. He showed the boys their dorm room first and then led us down a couple more hallways to ours, leaving us three to get settled.
