Do you remember?
All the times that you fell down,
that you reach out,
expecting a hand,
but were met with nothing but
the air of isolation?
Alone.
Do you remember?
The struggle to stand tall,
to keep your head held high,
looking life in the eye,
but collapsed under the weight
of gravity's firm grip?
Alone.
If you remember,
Do not forget.
Do not forget the trials,
the pain,
the experience,
that has shaped,
molded,
who you are.
Because it's in these times,
that character is built.
Because it's in these times,
that you are made strong.
Because it's in these times,
that joy is brought from the darkness.
So do not forget;
please, do not forget,
your darkest times,
for they are the times that count.

Abstracted
PoetryAbstracted is a collection of poems that I have written since 2014. Thank you for giving it a try, since I know that poems are sometimes hard to read. I hope you like them!
