Denki Kaminari stood outside of Midoriya's hospital room. "We'd just end up making the situation worse." Uraraka said to Kirishima. Him and Todoroki were standing on the opposite side of the hallway. The division in their class was palpable and many looked uncomfortable.
"We would be no better than villains."
Asui's words seem to ring through the silence that followed. Everyone felt the frustration, having been injured or stuck in classroom while their other classmates were outside facing unknown dangers at the hands of the villains, and all pro heroes having been caged into a defensive position to protect them. Once they had exited Midoriya's room the two had stopped Kaminari, Uraraka, Sero, and Ashido to make one last plea for them to come with. Kaminari looked up at Kirishima and Todoroki. He could see the tense way in which they both stood and this time Kirishima's words rang through his mind. "I would no longer be able to call myself a hero or a man!"
"I'm sorry Kirishima, but we should really let the pros handle the situation." Kaminari says, breaking the silent stale mate between all of them. "We all understand how you feel but being students, there's nothing we can do." With that he turns around and begins to walk down the hallway. After a bit he hears footsteps fading into the distance. He continues walking and comes upon the room where Hagakure and Jiro are resting. They have yet to wake up and as a class they had agreed that someone should always come by to check on their condition when possible. He opens the door and slips in, going over to Jiro's bed. The window let's in the afternoon sun while the blinds prevent it from reaching the girls.
The only sound in the room is the soft beeping of the heart monitor that is hooked up to the girls. The first time they all dropped by Uraraka had panicked upon seeing the machines, but the nurse had assured them that it was only a precaution since they were still unconscious. Equally so were the breathing tubes that run under their noses. Kaminari chuckled softly as he imagined the nurses and doctors trying to find Hagakure's nose; or just trying to treat her in general. He stood there for a while longer in hopes that they would wake up and make the day just a little better. Jiro's chest rose and feel rhythmically while her long lashes rested on her pale cheek bones. The shadows from the window began to grow longer and darker so he figured he would leave before a nurse found him and kicked him out.
When he finally made it to the front the door of the hospital in was fully dusk. Looking up he caught the clouds shift from cotton candy to dark blobs in the sky as the sun dipped below the horizon. With the sun gone the temperature dropped, but the summer weather meant that it was now pleasantly warm instead of blazing hot. A soft breeze tickled his exposed arms as he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Knowing Kirishima he would probably still try to go so there was nothing any of them could do, except Yaomomo in this case. She had the final say no matter what.
He began his journey to the train station, his feet taking him there rather easily after having repeated the journey so often in the last few days. So much had happened. Not just at the summer training camp, but since they had first started the school year at U.A.. The USJ incident where they had gotten separated and had to fight the villain's lackeys. Making his way into the station he grumbled, "Freakin' Jiro, shoving me into a villain and calling me her human stun gun." Pulling his wallet from his pocket he scanned his student I.D. and made his way forwards, following the flow of the thin evening crowd.
After the USJ came the sports festival and his embarrassing defeat to the girl with the plant quirk in 1-B. He subconsciously sunk into himself after taking his seat on the train that would take him home, the doors hissing shut. Though what probably had the biggest impact on his friends were the internships that followed. Being first-years meant that they were more like honored guests for the duration of their internship (his had been very uneventful) than actual sidekicks or even heroes, but of course Midoriya, Todoroki and Iida, surprinsigly, had managed to get themselves into trouble. Or at least he imagined something had happened, given how much they had changed once they were all back together the following week. It was actually the Hosu incident that had done it, that and the Hero Killer, Stain. Knowing them, specially Midoriya, they had probably managed to worm their way into the action. He remembered watching the news coverage of the strange creatures that appeared in Hosu, the capture of Stain and afterwards the video about his ideals that were uploaded. He blinked when he realized that he had been spacing out while staring at a middle-aged man sitting a few seats down on the other side of the train.
