"Keep that arm straight, good cub, c'mon." Opie encouraged as Ellie landed a blow to the freestanding punching bag Opie had set up on the patio. Ellie beamed under the praise and landed another blow as Opie observed and corrected her stance dotingly. He felt so, so proud of her and how quickly she was picking up the techniques he was imparting onto her. Opie always adored spending time with his kids, and this boxing session was no exception. Definitely something he hoped to continue with Ellie in future. Ellie had taken to it like a duck to water and the confidence that came along with it was something that Opie could see was really benefitting her. "Gotta get you some proper gloves, huh?" Opie commented as Ellie paused so he could re-tie the laces that had come loose on Ellie's right glove. They were the set Pixie tended to use when training at the clubhouse and whilst they were still big on Ellie, they weren't far off.

"Yes please, dad!" Ellie nodded eagerly. "I wanna get better at this." She added as Opie finished the knot and helped her get back into a good stance for punching again. "Then I can fight as good as you and grandpa." Ellie exclaimed after a punch, looking up at Opie with admiration and love.

"You will, cub." Opie agreed standing behind Ellie and slowing down a punch of his own so Ellie could copy him. "You got Winston in your blood after all." He told her whilst adjusting Ellie's elbow as she went for a punch with her left fist. "Once you get this simple jab down, we'll look at hooks and uppercuts." He decided, smiling proudly when Ellie landed two quick and almost perfect hits to the bag. "There we go! Good girl!" Opie cheered giving her an encouraging shake and a kiss on Ellie's cheek. Ellie shone like a sun beam under her dad's praise and went back to hitting, thoroughly enjoying herself. Opie heard a muffled vibrating sound coming from where he'd put his kutte and brown riding jacket on the back of a metal garden chair and stepped away to answer it, seeing Kip's caller ID.

"What's goin' on?" Opie asked, already feeling like something was up, he turned so his back was to Ellie to make sure she wouldn't try to lipread or listen in. Thankfully, boxing was proving to be a good distraction for her as she carried on trying out different hits.

"We need you back up here, Pixie's just briefed the Nomads on upping the security whilst she heads out." Kip filled him in, pausing for a second like he was trying to wrap his head around what he was going to say next.

"Head out where?" Opie badgered, voice turning low and serious as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"To go gate-crash the Mayan's Oakland charter." Kip responded, with a slight laugh of disbelief. "No one can talk her out of it, so Piney, Lowell, and Rane are gonna head out with her, and Piney wanted me to get you in on it too." He finished sounding concerned, but a little excited as well, Opie guessed this was due to Kip's love of seeing Pixie cause chaos.

"Shit. I'll be down there soon." Opie grunted and hung up, turning around to see Ellie stood behind him with her head cocked to one side and her arms crossed, looking like a tiny version of Piney when he used to catch Opie doing something he shouldn't.

"You said a bad word, dad. What's going on?" Ellie queried, her green eyes studying her dad's face intently as Opie reached into his pocket for his wallet.

"I know, don't go repeatin' that or your mom will kill me. Here, you can have the dollar seeing as we're not home." Opie reasoned, passing it to Ellie as she slipped her hand out of one of the gloves and put the dollar in her back pocket for safekeeping. "Pixie's about to go do somethin' crazy, again. So, I gotta go down and protect her, be good, yeah?" He explained gently, kissing Ellie on the forehead.

Ellie seemed to be pleased about being told straight away when things were happening and nodded her head. "I'm always good. Will you come see me when you get back?" She asked taking off the other glove and dropping it to the patio so she could pass her dad his kutte.
