Sawamura Eirin, just so happens to be a year younger than the beloved Sawamura Eijun.
Being the younger sibling, even if it was by a year, Eirin looks up to her brother.
As a role model, as someone she would like to be.
Because of this, baseball became her life.
And she pulled her childhood best friend, (the younger brother of her brother's childhood best friend, Aotsuki Wakana) Aotsuki Wataru into the sport as well.
For the first two years of middle school they played on the same team with her brother and his friends.
But, most of the team consisted of upperclassmen and when they graduated, the school was closed down.
Going to a new school with no baseball club is hard, though it gets a lot better when you learn you can play in a club outside of school and still be in the league.
The Nagano Sharks consisted of players from first years to third years in middle school.
Their ace, Sawamura Eirin and her trusty catcher, Aotsuki Wataru.
The Sharks became the best they could with not a lot of equipment and a dirt field.
Becoming one of the best middle school teams without being from a middle school
Once you graduate from middle school, you graduate from the club.
