Taking one more look at her bedroom to make sure she got everything that was necessary, Eirin took a deep breath as she pushes the freshly bleached strands of hair out of her face and zipped her bag completely closed. A knock on her door turns her attention to the doorway of her room and away from her bag. She walks over, turning the door knob and opens her bedroom door to see her best friend waiting with a large gift bag in his hand.

"Eh? I thought you were gonna meet us at the train station?" Eirin questions, tilting her head.

"I was going to but I wanted to give you your gift first." Wataru walks into her bedroom, holding out the gift bag to her.

"You got me a gift? I thought us bleaching and dying our hair together was a gift already." She takes the bag from him, sitting on her bed.

A couple days before, they got together for a normal hang out like usual and Wataru really wanted to dye his hair. He dyed the top half of his hair is now a dark green and they bleached the bottom half, toning as well as dying it to the perfect silverish-purple color. He convinced Eirin to bleach her bangs and the hair that frames her face bleach blonde with the left over dye. They had enough toner left so it is not completely yellow but it is not dyed because they ran out of dye.

He smiles, pulling out her chair at her desk and sits down. "Of course I did, I have to make sure you remember your best friend. And just to give you some extra things that the club wanted to give you. It's a mix of everything but you will know what's from me. Also, it was just me who dyed their hair. You just bleached yours." He runs his fingers through the silver part of his hair.

"I already killed my hair once, might as well let it rest." She starts to take out the tissue paper from the top of the bag and notices that the gift bag is just full of boxes and bags in various sizes. Though before she can actually open anything, her older brother bursts into her bedroom.

"ARE YOU READY TO GO TO TOKYO EIR?!" Eijun yells, quickly quieting down when he sees Wataru in her bedroom. "Oh. You are coming to say bye?"

Wataru gives him a strained, small smile. "Of course. The team wanted me to bring our gifts to our ace pitcher. I also have to say goodbye to my best friend."

Eirin sits on her bed, looking back and forth between her brother and best friend. She didn't really understand what was going on but the aura in her room feels very tense.

Eijun crosses his arms, slightly narrowing his eyes at the male Aotsuki. "Yes, of course. Just best friends."

Why was there an emphasis on best?

"EIJUN! EIRIN! WATARU! TIME TO GO!" The mother of the Sawamura siblings calls out.

"WE ARE COMING!" Eirin replies, grabbing her duffle bag and the gift bag. Her brother snatches her duffle bag out of her hand and runs downstairs. The best friends look at each other, shrugging and follow after him. A little later, the Sawamura family and Wataru are standing at the train station as they wait for the train to Tokyo. Eijun was given the important task to make sure his little sister got on the train with him instead of having Takashima go to where they live and escorting the siblings.
