She regrets saying it was okay for her brother to show her around the baseball grounds because all he is doing is just dragging her around and she isn't able to get a good look at anything or any of the players. But can't voice out her feelings as her brother is very excited that she is in Tokyo with him. Eirin also doesn't have the heart to tell him that she isn't fully into coming to Seidou. A quiet sigh escapes her lips but it isn't heard by her brother.
"And this is where Chris-senpai usually caught for me. Hey, if you do come to Seidou you can catch for me! Just like before I came to Tokyo."
It's been a year, no need to look back on memories that fondly. Since they are fairly recent.
"Furuya! Haruicchi! Meet my baby sister, Eirin! She is thinking about coming to Seidou with us next year!"
Eirin is pulled from her thoughts physically by her brother as he drags her over to two players, the shorter one of the two has pink hair and the taller one has more of a duller face. Thinking back to the stories that her brother has told her and the pictures he constantly sends her, she is able to easily tell which male is which. The pinkette is Haruicchi and the taller one is Furuya. She sends them a polite smile and bows lightly, "Hello, I'm Sawamura Eirin. It's nice to meet you two."
Before they are able to greet her back, Eijun is calling others over. "Cheetah-senpai, Miyuki Kazuya, come meet my sister!"
Great even more people to meet.
Actually, maybe right now is the best time to tell her brother. Since he is slightly distracted, maybe he won't hear the truth.
"Eiji-nii, I'm not fully thinking about coming to Seidou. Wata-chan and I have plans with the rest of the third years of the team to go to the same school our senpais are attending so we can keep the team together."
"Eh?" Eijun turns around, giving his sister his full attention.
Oh, he did hear.
Eirin frowns, playing with the sleeves of her jacket. "Eiji-nii, you know I can't leave my team. We worked so hard together and they are expecting me to come to their school to play with them. Only Wata-chan is able to catch for me and he just completed that skill very recently, I can't leave Nagano."
Eijun can't even argue with that because that is exactly how he was feeling. But he wants his sister to join him in Tokyo because one, they will be playing on the same team again and two, he is able to keep an eye on her meaning her teammates can't make a move on her. She may be growing to be her own person, old enough to date and make her own decisions. But first and foremost, she is his baby sister. And that means no dating, none. Nope, boys are icky and his sister is a princess who deserves the best. The best man will never come because he doesn't exist.
There are a few ways he can convince his sister.
"Why don't you pitch to a batter?"
"I can't. My coach has me on a strict schedule for pitching. We just finished a tournament and I pitched most of the three games, today is my day off from pitching to give my shoulder a break. I don't even have my pitching cleats."
That won't do.
Eijun is starting to get a little desperate. "Why don't you and Wataru come see the game tomorrow? You can watch me pitch!"
The female Sawamura closes her mouth, thinking about it for a bit. Eijun waits in desperation, really wanting his sister to join him in Tokyo. He lets out a sigh of relief when he sees her nodding her head in agreement. They continued on with the tour, the older brother showing his dorm off and the sister acting surprise that he is actually doing his own chores, like washing his clothes correctly.
A few days later Eirin steps off the train in Tokyo with Wataru following right behind her. Both young teens are wearing their team jackets, the only difference in the two being their names and numbers on the back, Eirin having Sawamura E. with the number 1 on her back and Wataru having Aotsuki W. with the number 2 on his back. Both are wearing jeans with all black hightop PF Flyers, which could be considered the official shoes for the Nagano Sharks. Their t-shirts being completely different, Eirin is wearing her brother's old practice shirt from Akagi Middle School and Wataru is wearing a shirt they were given from one of the tournaments they played in.
"Where is the field again?"
"How would I know? I don't like in Tokyo Wata-chan!"
Don't worry, the two best friends arrive to the field that Seidou is playing at, safe and sound. They even found their seats quite easily. A few people recognizing their names and the logo on their team jackets, many questions being thrown about on why they are here. Until a certain Sawamura Eijun is called to the mound in the midst of the game, all eyes going to the Sawamura E. on Eirin's back. It started to make some sense to the fans on the Nagano Sharks.
Eirin keeps her eyes on the field when her brother steps on the mound, they widen as she watches her brother pitch in a very controlled way than he normally does. She sits up straight, gaining the attention of Wataru who glances at her.
And then her brother pulls out a pitch she has never seen him do.
What the hell.
His arm literally whipped around him. The two best friends stare at the field with their mouths opened wide, noticing that the older Sawamura's way of playing has changed quite a lot in the one year has been in Tokyo.
"Wata-chan, I'm going to Tokyo."
Wataru really didn't want to hear that at all. Not one bit.
