alacrity- a cheerful readiness to do something
the hesitant embrace of soft lyrics
the silent promises in my mind
the ardent clicking of the keys
the world disappearing
lips upturned
eyes bright
blue light reflecting off glasses
sliver of sunlight through the window
the screaming of silence put at ease
my thoughts accompanied with sound
words on paper
and thoughts out loud
moving with alacrity
fingers tapping out words
racing thoughts
but all of them light
words the teller of stories
words what we use to talk
words which ones to choose
words that we all try to find
stories which we tell
feelings we try to capture
rising with alacrity to
see and feel and embrace and
let go
