"Mercy Part 2"

Y/N POV

We were at the restaurant after the All Valley. Hawk and I were sitting on one side of the booth and Demetri and Aisha on the other. Aisha was posting on her instagram story about our win. "So, you might be wondering what a team does after they win the championship. The answer, victory nachos!" We all cheer and raise our cups as Aisha turns back to the camera saying, "It was supposed to be a round of drinks, but the waitress was not feeling Hawk's fake ID." Hawk's eyes widen as he says quietly, "Hey, don't talk about that. My parents follow you." I chuckle and shake my head at him as Aisha says, "Sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Moskowitz. Anyways, until next time, no mercy bitches." She then sits back down as Demetri tells us, "I gotta say, it's nice to be at a victory party." He goes to eat a nacho, but Hawk grabs it from him and says, "Yeah, except you had nothing to do with the victory." "Then I consider it a belated party for the coding competition we won at computer camp. Remember?" He starts before he sings, "Demetri and Eli Binary brothers." I laugh and lay my head against Hawk's shoulder. I don't care what anybody else says, I like his nerdy side. Hawk then leans forward and says, "Hey, cool it with the nerd shit, huh?" Just then I realize that my brother isn't with us. "Hey, where's Miguel? Those wings are getting cold," I ask. We look over to see him at his own table on his phone. I sigh and get up followed by Hawk and Aisha. We walk over as Hawk says, "El Serpiente, there you are." We sit down around him as Aisha asks, "This is how you celebrate a first place trophy?" He just replies with a simple, "She blocked me." Hawk immediately jokes, "So, what happens when you get blocked? You counterpunch. Except maybe don't actually hit her this time." I slap the back of his head and he instantly stops laughing. He looks at me in confusion and asks, "What, too soon?" He then looks back to Miguel and says, "Loo, all I'm saying is don't give up." Miguel still looks disappointed and tells us, "It's no use. I blew my shot with her." Aisha tries to cheer him up saying, "Just give Sam some time. She'll come around." Hawk, not helping at all, says, "Or she won't. You're the champ now. You can get any chick in the Valley you want. You're like Drake. Enjoy it." Hawk get up and walks back to our table. I sigh and give him a side hug as Aisha pats his arm. "I'm not sure I wanna be Drake," he tells us. "Don't worry, you're not," I tell him with a chuckle. He cracks a smile and chuckles too. I missed his smile. 

That Monday at training Hawk, Miguel, and I rode our electric scooters to the dojo. Once we got there we park our scooters and Hawk started telling us, "All right. So, I get my license next week. My mom's gonna give me her Sentra. I think I'll put a blue racing stripe down the middle, hood to tail." Miguel smiles and says, "Subtle, I like it."  Hawk and I laugh as we go around the corner. We stop as we see more new kids outside the dojo. "Looks like we got new students. Sucks I can't fight though," I tell them. Hawk throws and arm over my shoulders and says, "Don't worry. I'll rough 'em up a bit for you Princess." I chuckle as Miguel gives me a smirk. I roll my eyes at him at him, but still have a smile on my face. We walk up to the dojo as the kids say, "Look, it's the champs." Hawk stops and tells Miguel and I, "Check this out." As he starts walking over to them I call after him, "Don't. I was just kidding. Sorta." We walk up to the doors as he says, "Hey, mouth-breathers. Move it." "Sorry about that," the first one says. "I'll get the door," The other says. He holds the door for us, but Hawk stops and asks, "So, you wanna be Cobra Kais, huh?" He then lunges forward and holds his arm up like he is gong to punch them. They jump back as Hawk comes back over to me telling them, "You got a long road ahead of you." We walk into the dojo to see it completely trashed. The walls were burned and the trophy shelves were broken. "What the hell happened here?" Miguel asks. "Looks like Sensei threw a party," Aisha tells us. "Must have been pretty sick if fire got involved," Hawk says looking at the burnt wall. All the sudden Sensei comes out of his office and yells, "Quiet! The dojo's  closed to new students today." The kid who opened the door for us tells Sensei, "We just wanted to sign up after we saw the tournament." Sensei, not being in a mood to argue says, "Do I need to say if again? Get out!" Then another kid says, "Yes, sir...Sensei. Come on, let's go." The all sigh and walk out as Sensei tells them to come back tomorrow. "Everyone, fall in!" He exclaims. I stand off to the side of the mats because I have to wear my boot for three weeks. Miguel and Hawk walk up to the front and where I stand next to Sensei as Hawk says, "Must have been a rager, Sensei." "Yeah, were you celebrating all weekend?" Miguel follows. To our surprise Sensei asks, "Celebrating what? My students are a bunch of pussies. Diaz, Hawk, up front." I look at him surprised as Miguel and Hawk stand next to him up front. "Hawk, did you attack your opponent when his back was turned?" Sensei asks sternly. Hawk glances at Miguel and I before confusedly saying, "Yes, Sensei." He then moves onto Miguel asking, "Diaz, did you purposely attack your opponent's injury?" Miguel answers with confidence, "Yes, Sensei." He then asks, "You think that makes you badass?" When they glance at each other and don't say anything, Sensei continues, "What's the matter, to tough a question? Maybe you need some help?" He then turns and starts pacing. "Miss Diaz!" He yells. I give a nervous look to Miguel and Hawk before asking, "Yes, Sensei?" "Two cobras in the jungle. One kills the strongest lion, the other kills a crippled monkey. Which cobra do you wanna be?" He asks me. "The one that kills the lion, Sensei," I answer more confidently. "And why is that?" He asks. "Because it killed a stronger animal," I answer. "Correct! Cobra Kai is about being badass. And the baddest badass is the one who beats his opponent when he is at his strongest. Not when his back is turned. Not when he's inured! Is that understood?" He asks the class. "Yes, Sensei," we answer. "That means no more cheating. No more fighting dirty.  From here on out, those are pussy moves, and you don't want to be pussies do you?" he asks. "No, Sensei," we answer again. "Good. That's why I had you wear your white belts. We're starting over. Diaz, Hawk, 50 push-ups on your knuckles. Miss Robinson, warm them up," He tell them. "Yes, Sensei," Aisha answers. Hawk and Miguel get down on their knuckles and start doing push-ups as Sensei tells me, "Y/n, you can do some weight training today since your not allowed to do karate." "Yes, Sensei," I answer. He goes into the back room and brings out the weights for me and I start curling the weights while everyone else trains. After Miguel finishes his push-ups he talks to Sensei about the lesson as I continue with my weights. 

After training we walk out of the dojo and we make our way over to our scooters to go to Hawk's house. Sensei told us to watch a movie called "Over the Top" and we decided to all watch it at Hawk's house. We go to Hawk's house and watch the movie, which was actually a pretty good movie. After we watch the movie, I stay behind after everyone else leaves. This is what we decided to do for our date, just hang out at his house and do whatever. 

We spent the whole time just talking about whatever we felt like talking about. I told him about my hobbies, passions, even my favorite color. He told me a lot about him too. I now know that his favorite color is blue, he still likes his nerdy things from before he was Hawk. I told him that I liked his nerdy side and that it'a pretty cute actually. After the date he went with me back to my apartment and walked me to my door. "So, what do you think, will there be another date?" He asked me. I tapped my chin pretending to think before saying, "Hmmmm, I think there will. I had a great time." He smiles relieved before asking, "So, are we dating? We don't have to be, only if you want to." I smile at his rambling and say, "I don't know, I'm still not ready for labels. But, I definitely want to go on another date." He nods saying, "Well, I'm okay with just going on dates for now." I smile at him. He's so sweet. "Thank you," I say. "Anything for you Princess," he says. I hug him tightly and e returns it just as tight. When we break the hug I reach for the door knob behind me and say, "See you tomorrow?" He nods walking over and kissing my cheek. I blush like crazy before muttering a faint, "Bye." He tells me good bye and I walk in and sigh before flopping backwards onto the couch. I know that I have a stupid grin on my face, but I don't care. Little did I know that Miguel watched the whole thing with a smug look on his face.

Author's Note

Happy St. Patrick's Day! My family goes all out for the holiday so my house is covered in green and orange. Anyway's I didn't put to much detail in the date because I wanted the reader to have some say in how it went. Also I know it's a little shorter than the rest of the chapters, but that was a whole episode. Also, I can't wait to right the Coyote Creek episode. As always, let me know what you want to see!
