It was another night in the Todoroki kingdom as a certain [H/c]ette made his way through the crowds trying his best to avoid all contact as he subconsciously pulled his cloak tighter around his body hiding the tail and ears that did nothing but paint a target on his head as poachers hungrily searched for their next payday. The skittish male hurried along his usual path hopping to get back to his quiet home and nest quickly after he was forced to go out for some much needed groceries.
The male licked his lips as the familiar smell of fish hit him. He smiled widely as he made his way to his favorite fish vendor, one he frequented quite often.
"Ah, [Y/n] I'm glad to see you again. I've been wondering when you would come around next!" the [H/c]ette smiled warmly "Nice to see you to, I'll just have the usual!"
"Coming right up!" the merchant turned away and got to work preparing your favorite when you suddenly felt uneasy as you felt as if you were being watched. "Hey there" you jumped slightly as you were startled by the sudden voice beside you "so do you often go out on late night fish runs?" the stranger let out a chuckle as he attempted to glimpse under your cloak making you pull it tighter suddenly feeling threatened.
"N-no just felt like fish tonight, you know how it is." the man simply hummed in agreement an amused smile on his face. "Here you go [Y/n]!" you smiled awkwardly as you paid for your food before attempting to walk around the hostile man only for him to move in your way. "I can walk you home and carry your bag, lots of dangerous people out and about tonight. Wouldn't want anything happening to a frail boy like you." you tensed seeing the glint in his eyes. "Sorry, but I'll need to decline your offer." you tried to move around him again only for him to grab your arm hard making you wince in pain.
"HEY, LEAVE THE BOY ALONE HE SAID NO!" the man growled before stalking off into the crowd, you turned to once again thank the kind merchant before going on your way hastily fixing your cloak.
You were on edge as you walked through the streets that suddenly seemed way too empty for your liking, you hoped that you wouldn't run into any more trouble as you simply wanted to get back home and sleep in your nest.
Suddenly your cloak was ripped from around your figure, you gasped, turning around while flashing your sharp teeth a growl leaving your throat as you glared at the same man from before who was now accompanied by a few of his buddies. "See guys! I told you he was one of them!" you felt frozen as your legs started shaking on their own accord, suddenly feeling like jello. "You're right, we're gonna be stinking rich since there aren't many neko's left!" "I wonder what a living one would fetch nowadays?" after hearing those haunting frazes you turned and started running as fast as your legs would carry you, you heard the men behind you yelling and their heavy footsteps as they chased you down the dark streets.
Tears ran down your face, fear fueling you to run on as you ignored your body's protests.
You heard the footsteps getting closer as you rounded a corner, suddenly bumping into a firm chest, you fell to the ground hard crying out as your tail was caught beneath your behind and the pavement. You looked up to be met with a stunning pair of bi colored eyes, you flinched at the hand that was extended to you in an attempt to help you off the ground just as the men rounded the corner looks of fury on their faces. They froze for a second as they saw the new person before them, the man from the fish merchant stepped forward a annoyed look on his face "Hey, back off bud, we saw the neko first so it's ours." The handsome stranger lifted an eyebrow at the others' words when you were suddenly harshly grabbed by the arm causing you to let out another painful whimper, your ears laying flat against your head.
It all happened in a flash but one second you were on the ground in pain and the next you were swooped into the handsome males arms, the poachers all groaning on the ground in pain. "You are aware that poaching is illegal aren't you?" you cowered in his chest as you heard the sound of hoofs approaching.
"SHOTO! I TOLD YOU NOT TO WANDER OFF ALONE, IT'S DANGEROUS RIGHT NOW!" you looked up to see a blue haired male with glasses walking towards you both while karate chopping the air.
"Todoroki..."
"Yes iida?"
"Why do you have a neko?!"
"Why not…"
After Todoroki explained the situation to Iida he quickly insisted that you stay with him for the night to ensure another incident doesn't happen.
You soon were lying curled up on his lap purring softly as he ran his fingers through your hair occasionally rubbing behind your ears as he sat on the floor of his room smiling slightly at you.
