—————

Kaminari was sitting underneath a tree with Izuku, picking at some of the orange-brown leaves that were surrounding him. He looked over at the ghost, who was smiling softly.

A final goodbye. The electric-blond didn't know why he wanted it. Maybe it was a little part of his brain telling him it was finally time to say it.

"So is this it?" Izuku asked, lying completely on the ground. "You're really leaving, huh?"

"Yeah..." Kaminari mumbled, tossing some of the shredded leaves back on the ground. "You're not mad?"

"I have no reason to be," Izuku answered. "I'm actually kind of proud of you. You finally told the truth to your classmates."

Kaminari shrugged. "All I did was reveal I'm not the happy-go-lucky person they thought I was. Instead, I'm just an insecure, stupid idiot who's always worried about everything."

"But they're helping you through that, aren't they?" Izuku turned his head to look at the electric-blond. "Your friends are good. If you have people you can open up to like them, you should talk to them."

"Yeah, I guess," Kaminari nodded. A small laugh came from him. "My friends are weird, aren't they?"

Izuku chucked, getting into an upright position. "Yup, but I like them. Your friend with the spiky blond hair... what was his name?"

"Bakugo."

"Yeah, him," Izuku started getting lost in thought. "He sort of reminds me of my brother."

"What?!" Kaminari gasped, whipping his head around to the ghost. "Wait wait wait, you're saying that Bakugo reminds you of your brother?"

"Yeah," Izuku nodded sheepishly, scratching his translucent skin. "Maybe he's the reincarnated version of my brother."

"I-" Kaminari was speechless.

"But I'm just joking," Izuku waved the topic off. "It would be cool if that were true, but there's really no way to know."

"Uh huh..." Kaminari went back to ripping up the dried leaves on the ground. "So um... I don't know how to do goodbyes."

"Me neither," Izuku admitted. "They were never really my thing. So let's just keep talking until we find a good place to end off on."

Kaminari now had a handful of broken leaves, which he threw into the air. He watched as they floated down like confetti. "I dunno what to talk about either..."

"Hm... why don't we talk about the future?" Izuku suggested. "What are you going to do from here on out?"

Kaminari scratched his head. "Continue going to school... not hide behind a mask anymore... and keep trying my best to keep my grades afloat."

Izuku chuckled. "Sounds like a plan."

"What about you?" Kaminari asked. "What're you gonna do when I'm gone?"

"Just continue being in this place," Izuku answered. "There's nothing much else for me going, but at least I'll be content."

"Oh, okay..." Kaminari frowned. He knew there were other members in the forest, but that sounded kind of lonely to him.

"I know what you're thinking," Izuku suddenly said, causing the electric-blond to yelp in surprise. "Don't worry about me, really. I'll be okay."

"I know but I just feel so bad," Kaminari groaned. "I mean, you'll literally live inside a tree for the rest of your not life!"
