Chapter 11: Journey To The Past!
(Part 1)*Artie's POV*
Willow's eyes went wide and she shook her head and smiled, but I knew instantly that it was fake. "Excuse me, I'm gonna...um...head to the ladies room...yeah..." She stepped over the log and ran across the field and away from the group before any of us could call out to her.
I stood up and stepped over the log. "I'm gonna go after her. She shouldn't be alone out there in the woods."
I was about to start running, but Zero grabbed my left shoulder, making me stop and look at him in confusion. "Zero?"
"There's something you need to know before you run off to her. Leave her be for five minutes, then you can go after her. In the mean time, there's something you're going to want to hear." Zero spoke in a serious tone. "But you have to promise us after we tell you, you won't treat Willow differently."
Won't treat her differently? "What do you mean?"
Mr. Merlin sighed, making me turn my attention to him. "My boy, you've heard of the story of 'The Lost Princess' and 'The Wanderer,' correct? And as you are now aware, 'The Lost Princess' has been found."
I nodded. "Of course I have! Although the story of 'The Wanderer' is a really good read, it was the story of 'The Lost Princess' that really got to me, you know? I thought my life sucked after my dad dumped me at the academy, but every time I read the story of 'The Lost Princess' over and over again, I felt very sorry for her because she never got to know her family, and probably didn't know what happened to them."
Zero let go of my shoulder and started laughing. "You know, the two of you are alike in more ways than one."
I looked at him confused. "Huh?"
Zero sighed. "For starters, you're both total dorks. The second...well, it's kinda obvious, isn't it? The two of you have been apart from your families. You had no choice but to go to Worcestershire Academy, and 'The Lost Princess' had no choice but to be sent to another world and attend school there."
Another world? "Is that even possible?"
"It is if you were the wizard who came up with the idea of sending her there in the first place along with her aunt and uncle, who are also the King and Queen of The Veil of the Fairies, and of course, her cousin, Princess Felicity, otherwise known as 'The Wanderer.'" Mr. Merlin surprisingly answered.
Shrek looked at Mr. Merlin confused. "Hold the phone...you were the one who sent her to the place Zero calls 'the human realm'?"
Mr. Merlin nodded. "That's correct. The human realm is a world unlike any other.
It's a world where magic and mythical creatures such as ogres do not exist.
It was the safest place for Princess Anastasia - 'The Lost Princess', Princess Felicity - 'The Wanderer', and King Cornelius and Queen Thumbelina of The Veil of the Fairies that I knew of through my own personal research.""I'm sorry, but how does this Princess Felicity person, or 'The Wanderer' or whatever fit in to all of this?" I asked.
Mr. Merlin chuckled, making me look at him in confusion. "Didn't King Uther tell you anything? Princess Anastasia was not the only child amongst the royals and the nobles on the day of the incident, Prince Arthur. Princess Felicity was there, too, when she was a baby herself."
"In fact, you were there yourself when you were just a baby. You there with your cousin, Princess Fiona, and Queen Lillian and King Harold of Far, Far, Away."
