The next day, Matt waited outside of Near's room. 6:00 AM sharp.
He was the only one standing in the hall because everyone was still in their rooms because classes didn't start until 8:00AM.

Mello walked out of Near's room. Half asleep and his blonde hair messy. Near followed behind him. Near's eyes traveling to A's room.

"Wow Mello, I didn't know you liked them young," Matt smirked at the sight of the two boys.

"Shut up Matt. Near was scared of Beyond Birthday. He told me some spooky shit he's seen him do during the night," Mello gave Matt a good morning hug.

"Imma go to my room to shower and change. Keep an eye on Near and don't go anywhere close to that other freak," Mello instructed Matt and ran to the opposite side of the orphanage to go to his room and shower.

"So y'all had a sleepover without me," Matt teased as he took out a cigarette.

"Matt, it is forbidden to smoke in school grounds," Near reminded the rebellious redhead.

"Sorry Near. I'm trying to die before today's physics exam," Matt admitted lighting his cigarette as he leaned against the hallway's wall. In plain view, but Matt did not care.

"Good morning Irish boy ," Linda ran to Matt. "Oh hi Near! You two ready for the exam?"

"Nope." Matt blew out smoke. The sight of Linda enlightenment his day and dark thoughts.

Surprisingly, Near mentally agreed with Matt's response. Last night's events scared him so much that Near had completely forgot what he had been studying.

"Come on guys, watch me practice ballet before class starts," Linda dragged both Near and Matt with her to the auditorium.

As the three got closer to the orphanage's/school auditorium Near felt his stomach dropped. The Swan Lake play would be performed by the ballet students in a few days. That meant the ballet students were practicing.

Near and Matt will be at the auditorium to see Linda practice ballet. That meant A would be there too.
Would B be there as well? The thought of seeing Beyond Birthday again terrified Near.
