Last week of autumn. December was just around the corner and the wammy students could feel the cold of the snow even when indoors.

In England, people didn't celebrate thanksgiving. It was disrespectful to the natives who lost their lands. Disrespectful. But Roger managed to arrange a big dinner with a lot of food options to respect the culture of the students who came from American orphanages.

Near sat on a table alone like always. Excluded. He didn't want to be with the other students. The other students didn't want to be with him either.

He watched Mello's group of friends eating. They really seemed to be enjoying the dinner. B sat among them.
But B was something else. B was eating like he had never ate before while looking at an specific direction.

Near's eyes traveled the direction B was staring at.

Alternative was sitting alone staring into space. Probably worried because he would have a one on one meeting with L. Well L wouldn't come. He communicates through a computer.

Roger then tapped A on the shoulder and both walked out of the lunch room.

Near finally ate for the next 20 minutes. Savoring the turkey and mashed potatoes.

He then watched as A walked into the lunch room. Body slightly slouched, looking down.
Near then watched B quickly get up from Mello's group table and ran to A.
The scene played like a movie in front of his eyes as he ate.

"Hello I'm Backup," Near watched as B properly introduced himself to A for the first time.

A smiled and B smiled back. His smile quite not perfect. Lingering.
