As expected, A was the highest score grade. Perfect score.
Followed closely by Near, Mello, and Matt.

The three wammy boys had scored a 99.9% on the physics exam, compared to Alternative's perfect 100.

A seemed relief, but her state of relaxation didn't last long as the Professor began to move to the next 3 chapters. There was another upcoming physics exam. The stress cycle began for her again.

Matt seemed careless. He didn't care about becoming the next L. He was too busy playing his gameboy during lecture. Lucky for him, the Professor didn't have a clear view of him. Or else the gameboy would have been confiscated and carelessness would be a new label on the redhead's file.

Mello on the other hand was furious. He couldn't believe he didn't score a perfect score.
He also hated having the same score as his rival, Near.

But Near didn't keep eye contact with Mello for long.
The Professor had already moved to the next 3 chapters and there was an exam coming up.
Near believed that if Mello spent less energy hating Near for his existence, then Mello would have enough energy to study more and get higher grades.
Maybe Near would tell Mello about this observation. Maybe.
