"She is going to be asleep for about another hour, but yes whenever you are ready," Owen said to my dad and I. I wanted to see her so bad but I was also a little scared.

"I think I am going to call the babysitter and see if she can come and pick up the kids from day care and take them home. I will meet you there," my dad said sounding a little better now that his wife is out of surgery.

"Ok..."

My dad left to call the babysitter and get Zola, Bailey, and Ellis. It was just me and Konner left. "She is in room 3056, for when ever you are ready to see her." Callie said before trailing off to do post op notes. Konner looked at me and then asked if I wanted to go see her. I thought for a moment then said yes. Konner took my hand then led me toward the elevators.

"I'm all for helping you see your mom but, I have no idea where to go. If you give me some direction then I can help," he said with a cute smirk. I laughed at his remark then said that I would lead the way. While in the elevator I started to feel all the emotions rush back in. I then started to cry. Konner quickly turned me around and pulled me into a tight hug. He kept on reassuring my everything would be ok. We stayed in this position until I heard the elevator bell ring. I took a deep breath in started to walk down the hall to see my mom.

After passing all the other rooms that led to room 3056 i saw her. My mom. Her face was all busied and scratched up. It was such an awful thing to see. My own mother hurt and in pain. I squeezed Konner's hand a little tighter and then let go reaching for the door handle. Miranda Bailey came up from behind me to help me in. Konner waited outside so I could be with my mom alone. I finally made it to her and Miranda let herself out of the room watching me, just like Konner was.

"Hi mom I am not really sure if you can hear me but, I wanted to let you know that I am here now and am never going to leave your side until you are better." At this point I was crying so hard I couldn't believe I still had water in my body. My dad then came up from behind me. I heard sniffles coming from him too.

"Your brother and sisters are all now at home."

"Did you tell them about mom," I said slowly, trying to take deep breaths.

"No, not yet I didn't know how." I nodded at him and he wrapped his arms around me. We stood like that until Jackson walked in to check my moms vitals and her jaw. While this happened my dad told me to go with Konner to get some water. He wanted me to get hydrated because of how much I have been crying. I walked out of the room and found Konner sitting on a chair, texting his mom.

"Hey how'd it go," he asked looking up from his phone.

"As good as it could've. Do you have to go?" I asked him, really not wanting him to leave.

"No. I'll be here as long as you need me to be."

I smiled at him because of how nice and supporting he was being. "My dad wants me to go down to the cafeteria to get some water, wanna come?"

"Yea, lets go." He hops up from his seat and we both start to head toward the elevator.

*time jump about an hour*

Konner and I have been sitting in some chairs for about an hour waiting for my mom to wake up. My dad went to get us some food because it is 12:30 at night and we haven't eaten since the afternoon. Just as I was about to go up and use the bathroom I heard movement coming from my mother.

"Mom!" I yell quietly.

"Mmm," she answers back. I run out of the room and tell the nurses to page my dad, Dr. Torres, and Dr. Avery. I then run back inside and carefully wrap my arms around my mom careful not to touch her too hard. Then quickly after my dad comes running into the room breathing heavily.

"Oh thank god your awake. I thought I lost you." He then started to cry. I saw my mom roll her eyes and I then moved out of the way so my mom could hug my baby of a father. While they were having their moment I went over to Konner and took him outside to talk to him.

"I wanted to say thank you for staying all night and helping me. I do not think I would be so sane without you here. So thank you." I said this, with a smile plastered on my face.

"Y/n I will always be here for you. Thank you for choosing me to be your boyfriend and letting me help you through all of this." I gave him a big hug then we went back into my mom's room hand in hand.
