I set my alarm for 5:30 so, I would have enough of time to get Zola, Bailey, and Ellis ready. When it went off at 5:30 I quickly got up and ready for the day. I picked out my clothes which was a pair of ripped jeans, a cute sweater, and air forces. It was cold in Seattle that day so I needed to be warm. I then straightened my hair and put some light makeup on. The outfit:

After getting myself ready I went to go get Ellis up and changed into her clothes. I put her into a light blue onzie and some black leggings. I put a little bow into her hair and then gave her a little kiss on the cheek. I picked her up and then went to go get Zola and Bailey up, I went to Zola's room first.
"Zola it's time to get up and get dressed, " I said quietly.
"Ok," she said groggily.
She started to pick her outfit out and I left to wake up Bailey. To my suprise he was already sitting up in bed when I walked in.
"Hey, Bails. How long have you been up?"
"I don't know. I couldn't sleep well last night."
"Aww Bailey you should've come and got me. I would've tucked you back in her slept with you."
"I know but I didn't want to wake you. I wanted you to have some sleep because you've been with mom and helping her."
At this point I was sitting on his bed with Ellis in my lap.
"Thanks Bails, but you can always come and get me. Do you know what happened to mom. Did dad tell you," I said while brushing his hair out of his face.
"He just said that she was hurt and that she would be in the hospital for a while. I miss her," he said in a sad tone.
"I know I miss her too, but lets get ready for dad so he can come and drive you to school."
"Ok, I will," he said hopping down from his bed. Ellis thought that was hilarious so she started cracking up. I walked out of the room laughing and went into the kitchen. I found Zola sitting at the island with her outfit on and bag all packed. Zola asked if she could have some eggs so I set Ellis down in her swing and then started making Zola and Bailey their eggs.
I then got a text from Konner saying he would be there at 7. I texted back 'sounds good' and then called my dad. He picked up all most immediately.
*phone call*
Me: "hey dad good morning. how was moms surgery?"
Dad: "good morning sweetie. it went well, she is in a lot of pain but is currently sleeping."
Me: "good, that's good. what time are you picking the kids up, Konner is coming at 7."
Dad: "i will be there at 6:30 so, have all the kids dressed and ready to walk out the door."
Me: "ok dad sounds good. i have to go finish cooking breakfast i'll see you later."
Dad: "see you later and thank you for helping with the kids. bye i love you."
Me: "bye dad i love you."
I hung up and then plated their eggs. Bailey arrived at the island with his backbag.
"Thank you for the eggs," Zola and Bailey both said.
"No problem."
After cleaning the pan I walked over and picked up Ellis. I got some baby food from the fridge and started to feed her some. She ate about half of the food and then started to get fussy. I put the leftover food back into the fridge and then picked up Ellis and started to burp her. After I burped her and got her back down into her swing I started to help Zola and Bailey ready to go.
Right as I finished getting their lunches ready and packed my dad honked the horn. I hurried them all out the door and helped strap Ellis into her car seat. I waved my dad goodbye and then went to get my bag packed. While getting my bag packed I started to remember what had happened to my mom. I mean I never forgot but for about one hour this morning everything felt so normal, like nothing has changed. After everything started to set back in all I wanted to do is struggle up in bed and cry but, I couldn't. Instead I finished getting packed locked the front door and waited for Konner outside.
He came about 30 minutes before started. I got into the car and said hello to him and gave him a kiss and then got my seat belt on. The ride to school was about 15 minutes long but it felt a lot longer. I pretty much just talked to Konner and make it seem like I was ok, even though I knew I wasn't.
