I woke up to a beautiful sunrise for a Monday morning in the middle of winter. The sky is pink, purple, and light blue with pinkish purplish clouds. I smiled as I look out my window at that wonderful sight. I walked into my big room, also where my kitchen is, and took a slice of bread and some blueberries and made blueberry jam and spread it on my bread. I started up a fire and ate my jammed bread in front of the warm fire. After I finished my breakfast, I decided to make a trip to the village to get more supplies even though I had quite a bit of food and I wasn't growing out of my clothes yet, but I still wanted to go.

I got dressed after relaxing by the fire for a while and once I has ready I grabbed a basket and left for the village. When I got to the edge of the forest, I saw that the village had no people outside.

"Is everyone sleeping in or out somewhere for a village wide celebration?" I asked myself quietly, just in case the villagers were actually hiding from me in order to catch me or something. I walked slowly and quietly over to the bakers and saw no one on the way there through the village. Then, I heard horse hooves coming from behind. I knew it wasn't any villager's horses because they usually make horse noises as well as making noise with their hooves. I ran to a pile of barrels that seemed to be a good place to hide. Luckily there was a peep-hole that I could look through that wouldn't give me away. I watched and saw that all the villagers were here and they were just in their, luckily, window-less homes. I almost gasped when I saw who the visitor was, but I caught myself in order to stay hidden.

"Welcome Zanthis," said a man. "We were just about to"

"I don't care about what you were going to do, all I care about is that no one of any other kingdom comes here so they can take over the throne." Said Zanthis who was still on his jet black horse.

"Yes sir! Of course sir!" Said the same man who had spoken before.

"Good, now then lets get to business," Zanthis said getting off his horse. "Time for inspection."

Everyone gasped.

"But sir, inspection is not for another week or so!" Said the man.

"What, are you saying your homes and businesses do not meet the regulations?" Said Zanthis, who's expression made him look like he was very suspicious of the villagers.

"No sir, it's just, our homes might not be as tidy as you might want them to be. But they all still meet regulations!" Said the man, who I was beginning to think was the village speaker.

"I don't care if your homes aren't tidy like I think they should be, as long as they meet regulation, I'm fine." Zanthis said. I could tell just by his movements that he was starting to get annoyed. "Now, everyone to your homes right away, clean as much as you can, I will start inspection in 15 minutes!"
Everyone ran to there homes and I guessed started cleaning, some where done in less than 10 minutes and began doing their actual job. Others, were not so quick and they were either finished, almost finished, or still were about half way to being done by the time the 15 minutes were up. I started to think that maybe I should just go back home and come back in an hour or so; but when I saw how fast Zanthis was in inspecting the houses and businesses, I thought I better wait.
After about an hour, Zanthis was done with the inspection and was just about to leave. I was very happy to see him get on his horse because I knew that meant he was leaving.
"Now, villagers, I expect you all to have very tidy homes and businesses and have them meet regulation by the time I come back in a month." Said Zanthis. He then rode off towards his castle. After he was out of sight, everyone let out a sigh of relief, they had made it through inspection, I couldn't help but smile to in my little hiding spot. Everyone then started to go back into their daily lives which meant that in a few minutes, I could go and get the supplies I needed.
