"Avery, turn your alarm clock off and wake up lazy!" Jenn started throwing pillows at me to wake me up. "Those roller coasters aren't going anywhere.." I groaned and turned over in my bed. Jenn gave me a sarcastic laugh, "Get up now or I'm dumping water on you. Ice. Cold. Water." She said sternly. I jumped up and she laughed whilst walking away.
I had already picked an outfit out when Jenn and I decided to visit Canada's Wonderland. I bought a white shirt with a coral and turquoise tribal design around the neck and coral shorts. I paired that with some strapped sandals with rhinestones on them. I grabbed them out of my suitcase and put them on the bathroom counter and got ready to shower. My shower was so quick. Jenn was standing outside my door rushing me the whole time because she wanted to go.
I quickly dryed my hair and got dressed. My natural hair is loose beach waves so I decided to just leave it. I walked out and Jenn was wearing a neon pink tshirt with white shorts and strapped sandals as well. We rushed to the elevator. We wanted to get their before anyone else so there would be less people on the roller coasters with us. (So it wasn't as embarrassing if we screamed our lungs out).
We have to elevator to ourselves so we're gushing about which roller coasters we have to go on first. "I really think we need to hit the new one first! If we do that one, then all the other ones will seem like baby rides!" Jenn had a good point, I was just too excited to think. As the door opened we started to speed walk out to a taxi. We got in and told him to go as fast as possible.
Canadaès Wonderland is just a little outside of Toronto, so it took about half an hour. We walked in through the gate and I didn't think it was too busy. As we headed over to the little shop that sells these 'fast passes' to skip lines, Jenn brought up the boys. "Do you think Harry and Niall are super adorable?"
"Yeah, I mean, they're really nice but we've only talked to them twice in the elevator.." Realistically, we have only talked to them for a total of about 10 minutes. I do want to talk to them again though, hopefully we see them at some point this trip.
We got our bracelets and we decided to go on the newest ride first.
"Look at this line up! That's insane! This will take hours" Jenn complained, but I pointed out the fast pass lane, and it had about 5 people on it. She mouthed the word "Oh" and we walked over and joined the few other smart people who bought these bands. When we finally get on the ride I was super scared. I didn't realize how high and how steep the first climb is and Jenn and I held hands the whole way up. My left hand was grabbing on to her hand, and my right hand had a death grip on the lap bar. That was all that was keeping me in the ride, a lap bar. We're in the front car and as we get to the top I look down and see it's almost a straight drop down. It went by so fast though. I don't know whether or not it was because I closed my eyes or because the roller coaster went like 200 mph. The ride finished and I looked at Jenn, wide eye'd, "We have to do that again", so we got back in our line of 5 people, and went on the ride again. Second time was just as fun!
"Can we go on that yellow one over there now? PLEASE" "Sure, Jenn". We headed over and found the start of the line. "I don't think theres a fast lane for this one, looks like we're waiting in line with everyone else" I said frowning. We were close to a sign that said the wait time was an hour and a half from that point, so we had quite a bit of time left. The line didn't move very much at all and we were still the last ones in line. Then two boys came up behind us and suddenly I didn't feel so bad that we were so far behind. I could hear them talking and they had accents. I looked at Jenn, "Is it them?" I mouthed to her, and we both looked over our shoulders. We looked at each other in shock. Niall and Harry are here?! "Wow, this is getting a little weird.. following us now?" I said jokingly to Niall and Harry. They looked at us "Woah! I didn't expect to see you two here!" Maybe waiting in this line wasn't going to be so bad.
It's been about thirty minutes and the line still hasn't moved. The workers announced there was a problem and they were fixing it and it would be up and running again shortly. None of us wanted to leave our place in line so we stayed, as well as everyone else in line. "I'm kind of hungry, I'm going to go get some fries or something. Anybody want anything?" Niall asked everyone, Harry looked at me "Do you want to go with him and help him?" I nodded, I asked Jenn if she wanted anything, and Niall got Harry's order.
Jenn's Point of View
I wonder why Harry just asked Avery to go help Niall out. Maybe he likes her? "Harry, why did you tell Avery to help him, why didn't you just go?" I asked him. He just looked at me and smiled. His perfect dimples appeared and his giant green eyes sparkled. "Well Niall won't shut up about her, he says she's so beautiful. And I thought this would give him the perfect opportunity to let her know." I smiled back. A boy likes my little Avery.
Avery's Point of View
Niall and I really had no idea where we were walking to, there were no maps, no signs. We followed the crowd of people, we could smell greasy food from somewhere.
"I wonder why Harry couldn't have just come with you to get the food" I looked at him and smiled, he smiled back.
"Yeah, he probably would of. But he wanted me to talk to you I suppose.." He said, blushing. Seeing his cheeks become flushed with a rosey colour, made me blush too.
"Oh.." That was all I managed to say, and I felt like maybe he thinks I didn't want to talk to him.
"I know it's weird because we don't know each other very well, but I think you're absolutely beautiful and I'd like to get to know you or else I'll go back to London with Harry regretting not knowing you." He smiled and looked at the ground. I had no idea what to say, I just hugged him.
We got the food for all of us, and started to head back to the line. We talked more, I learned about him and his life back in Ireland and England, and I told him how I've always wanted to visit England and that I had family there I still haven't met.
"Maybe one day I'll take you with me." He smiled and winked at me. I had the worst case of butterflies in my stomach, it was actually painful. We were back at the line and Jenn and Harry hadn't moved at all, but the ride was back up and running.
Harry was standing awfully close to Jenn and I couldn't wait to ask her what happened. Niall and I were leaning on the rail facing Jenn and Harry. They were laughing to each other and I was so happy for her.
Suddenly I felt Niall's hand grab my waist as the line moved. His large hand wrapped around my side guided me throughout the line. When he touched my waist I felt it through my whole body.
We sat beside each other on the ride and held hands. Even though this one was a little bit smaller than the last roller coaster, the climb still freaked me out. When the ride was done he looked at me and let go of my hand, he let out a small laugh.
