"hey bae," said kay as maddie answered the facetime call. "hey.." replied maddie weakly smiling.

"are you still crying?"

"yep."

"how long ago did he storm out?" kay asked. "maybe about an hour ago. I'm pretty sure he's in his studio right now. he normally goes in there when he's stressed or upset." said maddie, shrugging.

"okay, no more talking about whatever his name is. we're here to forget about it. we're hanging out tomorrow by the way." said kay setting up her phone on her bedside table. maddie nodded, wiping her tears. "did i tell you how absolutely stunning you looked in your recent by the way. like, marry me right now." maddie laughed.

"thank you but have you seen your recent?"

"okay fine, we're both hot as fuck." they both laughed. the two best friends talked and joked all night until the morning, completely forgetting about the whole daniel situation. maddie was very glad to have a friend like kay, them being the closest in their friend group.
