"Hey, stranger," said Daniel as I answered the facetime call.

"hey," I reply focussing on a painting.

"you okay?" he asked.

"oh yeah. sorry. I'm just focussed on this painting." I give a small laugh.

"oh, I can call you later if you want me to-"

"no, it's fine." I cut him off.

"so whatcha working on?" he asked.

"a painting."

"well I know that but what are you painting?" he asked curiously.

"I don't know actually. just kind of doing random doodles."

"oh okay," he said and we both went silent until he finally said something, "wanna hang out today or something?" he asked.

"umm, it's like almost 2 am but sure," I replied laughing.

"Oh shit, you're right. It's 2 am. but you know I'm still down to hang out."

"Okay, where do you want to meet?" I ask.

"I'll pick you up. What's your address?" he picked up his phone.

"I'll text you it."

"Okay, bye. see you soon!"

"bye!" I hung up and butterflies filled my stomach.
