"that was fun. thank you guys, i really appreciate it." said maddie as they pulled into their driveway. the others smiled.

"you're welcome." said gabbie. "what did daniel say? are you guys good now?" maddie only nodded while opening the car door and walking inside. "do you think they're actually okay?"

"who knows with them. one day they're fighting and the next they're all lovey dovey again. i don't mean that in a rude way of course." said christina, grabbing her purse and opening the car door. the rest gathered their things and headed inside.

"oh hey mads, how was your day?" said corbyn as maddie walked into the kitchen, grabbing a bottle of water. she shrugged and went upstairs to her bedroom. "is she okay?" he asked kay who walked into the kitchen, kissing zach on the cheek.

"she said her and dan are fine but she still seems off." she slightly frowned.

"is it that time of the month?" said zach. kay slapped his back. "ow!" he rolled his eyes and walked into the living room, joining jack who was playing video games. kay rolled her eyes in response, "what a dick. i seriously question why i'm with him sometimes." the others laughed.

it was nearing 11:00 pm and daniel still wasn't home.

about 30 minutes later the bedroom door opens. maddie turns her head to see daniel slipping off his shoes and putting them in the closet.

"daniel what the fuck." maddie whisper yelled. he took off his shirt and climbed into bed next to her. "are you just going to ignore me?" he kissed her temple. "where were you? i texted you twice and you never answered." she frowned, small tears forming in her eyes.

"i'm sorry.. i was at the bar and i had a few drinks but i'm here and i'm fine." he smiled and cuddled into her. she just crossed her arms.

"are you drunk?"

"maybe a little but again, i'm here and i'm fine." he closed his eyes.

"you drove home drunk? daniel what's wrong with you? you could've crashed!" she slapped his arm and he sat up.

"oww! chill out, i took an uber home. i'm not stupid. do i look stupid to you?" she rolled her eyes.

"yes, you look 100% stupid as hell right now."

"fine." he tuned away so that he wasn't facing her. maddie did the same. their backs facing each other the whole night.
