Ethan bolted up from where he was laying on his bed as his best friend ran through his bedroom door.
Benny was panting as Ethan gave him a questioning look. Benny grinned in excitement, "Dude! Your parents are gone and we have the run of the house."
His face fell, "Well, except for your sister, Y/n, and Sarah... your babysitter." Ethan rolled his eyes at the mocking tone in his friend's voice.
Benny shook his head, "Do you have any idea what this means?"
"Does it rhyme with... gideovames?" Ethan's face lit up. Benny pulled a game out from behind him, "Almost! Knights of Ninjitsu IV! I had to wait five hours in line for this puppy, and I had to pee the entire time!"
Ethan stood up, grabbing the game from him, "Well, this is going to be worth every bit of kidney damage. Wait, why do we need the run of the house for this?"
"You know, so we can... yell and stuff," Benny shrugged.
Ethan scoffed at the answer, "You yell in here all the time. My mom is constantly telling—" Benny interrupted before Ethan could go on a rant, "Do you want to play or not?"
They glanced at each other before quickly running to the game console.

In Jane's room, her, Sarah, and Y/n sat on Jane's bed. Jane looked down at the blue haired doll on her hands sadly, "Debbie's my favorite, and now she's ruined."
Y/n put an arm around Jane's shoulder, "I'm sure we can fix her up somehow, Jane."
Sarah nodded, grabbing the broken doll, "Yeah, like with some tape or something." Jane nodded slowly, giving the two teenage girls a wide grin, "Then can we have a dance party?"
Y/n laughed, "Uh, sure. What else are we gonna do until your parents get home?"
A phone started ringing somewhere in the house and Sarah stood off the bed, "Be right back."
Y/n poked Jane, standing up as well as the girl giggled, "I'm gonna go see what your brother and Benny are up to. Don't do anything I wouldn't do while I'm gone!"
Jane looked solemnly at her broken doll as they left the room. She looked up suddenly at the sound of her brother yelling, "No!" from his room.
In Ethan's room, he was desperately tinkering with the technology in front of him when Y/n knocked on his door, slowly opening it.
She glanced between him and Benny, "Hey guys."
Y/n received mumbled hello's from her two best friends as she stepped into the room. She nudged Benny, tilting her head in Ethan's direction in question, "Uh, what happened?"
