"I'm not gonna do it, Benny."
"Come on, I'm trying to help!" Benny pleaded with Ethan through a video call. Ethan rolled his eyes and moved closer to the camera, "I don't need help. Look, I have my lucky socks, a clean shirt, and a fresh bottle of cologne."
Benny gave him a blank stare, "Dude, you have absolutely no game."
Ethan scoffed, "And you do? How are things going with Y/n?"
"Things are... going. But, listen, my dad is currently on the dating scene, which means that I have unrestricted access to this. Be a Man magazine!"
Ethan groaned and sat down, "Fine."
"Now, I'll pretend to be Sarah."
"This is stupid," Ethan sighed as he stared at the screen. Benny rolled his eyes, "Just do it."
"Okay," Ethan cleared his throat, "Hey, Sarah. What's up?"
"Oh, hey, Ethan. I'm just hanging out. You know, shopping and stuff," Benny raised the tone of his voice.
"I was just wondering if maybe you'd like to go see the new Galctictac movie with me on Saturday?"
"You and me? Like, on a date? No."
Ethan scoffed, "Hey! I thought you were supposed to be helping me."
"I am. What if she says no? What, are you gonna just give up?" Benny questioned.
"Mmm... Yeah, probably."
"Wrong answer. Close the deal! Convince me! Make me feel like I'm the only girl in the world. Be a man! Be my man." As Benny yelled into the camera and put a towel over his head to symbolize hair, he failed to notice a snickering Y/n in his doorway.
She leaned against the doorway before speaking up, "No way. Are you finally confessing your undying love to Ethan without me?"
Benny jumped with a yelp before turning to the girl's smirking face. He rolled his eyes and quickly cleared his throat before gesturing her over. Y/n pulled up a chair next to him, sending a quick wave to Ethan before asking, "What is going on here?"
"I'm helping Ethan practice." Benny stated as though it were obvious. Y/n stared at him blankly, "Helping with what? Being an idiot 101?"
"To ask Sarah out!"
Y/n gasped, "Oh! Ethan, that's so adorable. Why don't I just pretend to be Sarah, I am a girl after all?"
Ethan started to nod in response before Benny quickly pushed Y/n out of the cameras view, "I think I got it, thanks."
"Okay..." Y/n gestured for Ethan to continue where they had left off.
"Well, I'd really like to go on a date with you. You and I have this connection that's really special. I feel like there's some cosmic reason we were thrown together," Ethan smiled at the camera.
