"I can't believe that hiccup's coming back. I wonder what he'll look like, do you think he will look the same" punzi said as she pulled her newly short brown hair into place, "I think he would have changed punz I mean it has been five years" I reply, barely bothering to lift my head of the blue couch of our shared apartment "yo jack" I yelled "did hiccup tell ya anything when he called" the white haired boy sighed, turned off the PlayStation and said "I told you his voice sounded deeper he said something else I can't remember, something about a roommate" "well that's helpful" I muttered "well I'm sorry mer I didn't really react as I was still in shock from the only contact that I had with the guy other than the occasional email or text so..." I groaned and lifted my head of the couch pushing my big red curly mess of hair out of my face. I checked myself over, I was wearing my signature camouflage cargo pants, teal tank top and black fingerless gloves, jack was wearing his usual as well a light blue hoodie, brown jeans and sneakers. Punzi was the only one who dressed up for this apparently momentous occasion, in her own words, she was wearing a pink and purple floral dress and purple ballet flats.

"Ok I'm ready let's go" punzi squealed "WAIT! I REMEMBER SOMETHING" screamed jack. I stopped so quickly I nearly fell on punzi "what" I asked in exasperation "he has a giant dog apparently, hiccup said his name was toothless" punzi giggled "only hiccup" "and his roommate has a hawk or falcon or something" "well ok then they sound badass" I said in shock "are we going or not" punzi wined as she tugged my arm towards the door.

Laughing I wade my way to the passenger seat of the silver BMW that we shared, punzi wanted a pink one but both jack and I shot her down on that. On the way to hicc's home I became increcingly nervous, when he left I had a small crush on him and it hadn't left. I quickly pushed it down as we neared hiccups apartment building, it looked like every other apartment building in new York, tall and grey and covered in one way glass unlike the older ones like ours.

Punzi being the safest driver out of all three of us parked so close to the elevator I nearly fell into it as I got out of the car. Once inside I could instantly tell it was a fancy building as peoples last name were next to the level button indicating that the apartment expanded as the whole level. Hiccups last name, Haddock, was at the very top. I listened to jack and punz bickering for a while about who would press the button so I just sighed and pressed it myself like it was a great chore, but I grinned once I got simultaneous smacks in the head with jack actually managing to get his hand momentarily stuck in by hair.

Our amusement quickly turned to shock as we saw hiccup as the elevator doors opened, he looked a lot cuter, and no that wasn't the right word. Hiccup was hot. He was lying on the wooden floor of his apartment and he had on faded blue jeans with various holes in it, not the purposely placed ones though the ones that come with being the favoured pair of jeans, black sneakers and a dark green t-shirt that was slightly ridded up so I could see the lower part of his stomach, continuing my upwards gaze I saw that he had grown out his hair so it was shaggier and didn't sit flat on his head, he also had a braid in it for some reason, the next thing I noted with shock is that he had three piercings in his ear two black wire loops at the top of his ear and a small black stud at the bottom.

My thought continued into more shocking territory as a defiantly female hand gently grabbed some of hiccups hair and started braiding it, following the tanned appendage I saw a girl, a blond girl who was plating hiccups hair and chewing bubble gum. I think my brain exploded for a second hiccup was strangely over protective of his hair so seeing someone so close to it while chewing gum caused the previously mentioned brain explosion.

Nope the brain's still good.

The girl had her golden blond hair in a messy side braid and had a brown leather band wrapped around her forehead with a patch of blond hair falling into her left eye. She was wearing a red semi-see through top and a black crop top that ended midway between her breasts and her navel. She was wearing black shorts, fishnets that came to just above her knees and red converse shoes.

Hearing a whimper I looked down to see a black wolf with braids and clips in his hair looking pitifully at me, I was leaning down to take out the braids when I heard a voice say "don't do that, I just put them in" I looked up to see he blond girl looking at me in a fake hard expression allongwith a smerk of amusement "who are you anyway, are you hiccups friends? If you're not then what are you doing here?" the girl stated rather bluntly gesturing towards hiccup who was now asleep in her lap with the strange girl still braiding his hair. "I'm Rapunzel" punzi said with a warm grin and the strange girl immediately relaxed "and they are jack and Merida?" the blond continued, jack and I both nodded dumbly "great" the girl continued "I'm Astrid hiccup's girlfriend."

To that everyone reacted with mixed levels of shock, jack blinked, punzi looked confused and then broke out smiling and I punched jack in the gut.

"he said girlfriend you idiot not roommate" this was met by laughter by Astrid and punzi who already went to sit next to the girl. "How can he sleep through this... stuff" punzi asked waving a hand in the general direction of jack, who was rolling on the floor groaning. "we have some very... loud friends, they are coming over later in the week" Astrid explained and as an afterthought "I think I'm gonna like you Merida" "you two are very alike" a voice said we looked down to see hiccup waking up and extracting himself from between Astrid's lags only to be pulled back there by Astrid who just went back to braiding hiccups hair.

"so" jack said finally laying down next to punzi "how'd you meet Astrid as she is clearly out of your league" this was met by a snort by all of us, even the dog and jack was eyeing Astrid wearily wo just went into the kitchen to see if she heard, "I met her in a motorbike race" hiccup stated as if it was obvious, this caught a sigh from punzi wo said wearily "legal or illegal?" strangely though it was Astrid who replied "tho only ones that are worth our talents are the latter. And when he started I was reigning champion until he beat me" Astrid continued punching hiccups shoulder after she got back from the kitchen with several cases of lemonade.

"I'm not even gonna bother trying to get you out of that stuff again so... when did you move here hiccup?" "Three weeks ago and I didn't contact you guys because we had to find jobs and unpack the stuff" jack and I rolled our eyes simultaneously and I just said "yhea whatever but it's good to see ya hicc" hicc just smiled and said "it's good to be back"
