"ERROR!"
I stood, paintbrush weighing in my hand, as I faced the destroyer.
The explosion of the destroyed AU had worn off, leaving a deep orange glow to illuminate the new anti-void Error had created. Another anti-void, another destroyed AU, another fight with this hell-bound glitch. This AU took an especially long time to create, and all that hard work was thrown to nonexistence with a flick of Error's wrist.
"hEllo oNcE aGAin, rAinbOW pUke" Error turned from where he was admiring his work, raising a bone-brow at me.
I growled, my grip on my paintbrush tightening at his smug look. "This is the last time, Error! I'm through with this!" I yelled, taking a step forward.
Error gave me an amused look, his dark blue strings gathering and twirling around his fingers. "hoW mANy tiMeS hAve yOU sAid tHAt, dUmbaSs?" He chuckled, a dark, dirty sound that made me want to pound him into the ground more than I already did. "wHat mAKes YoU thInK tHIs tImE wIlL bE aNY diFfeREnT?"
I wanted to tell him he was wrong, that I could beat him this time. But the truth was, we were both ultimate beings with too different of abilities. No one would ever win the fight, not as long as we were opposites.
That didn't mean I wouldn't kick his ass, though.
I gritted my teeth, shifting my feet as Error narrowed his mismatched eyelights at me. "yOu wOn'T juSt giVE uP, hUH?" He gripped his strings, giving me a cold smile. "thAt'S yoUr mIstAKe."
I lunged forward, the ends of my scarf flying out behind me as I readied my paintbrush. The dull glow of the new anti-void cast over the two of us as I focused on the movement of Error's hands. After fighting him for so long, I've learned that simply watching the movements of his fingers could lead me to predicting his attack. With this thought, Error threw his arm out, fingers spread as dozens of strings raced towards me.
Growling, I managed to duck under one before launching myself into the air in a makeshift jump. I swung my brush heavily towards Error, sending ink off its end to fly towards him as he sent more strings after me. He jumped back, sliding quickly out of the way as I fell to the ground before the strings could touch me.
My grip on my paintbrush tightened as I realized this would be an especially long fight.
"yOu sTiLl caN'T beAt mE, iNk, aFTeR aLl tHIs tiME." Error taunted, a smirk plastered across his face. "hOw paThEtiC!" He laughed, shaking his skull as I glared at him.
I kept going about this in the same way- I keep trying to fight with brute force. Come on, Ink, creativity- there has to be a different way to fight him, even if its something so simple or stupid, anything could work. I could possibly paint something- not like that's anything new in a fight but maybe there was something else I could paint besides weapons or cages.
"wHat Are yOU wAitiNG fOr?"
Fuck it-
I lunged forward again, my eyelights set dangerously on my target. I felt the need to bash Error in, I was sick of playing these stupid games. I just wanted to get rid of him, once and for all.
"ERROR!" I yelled, flinging my ink at him as I lashed my paintbrush through the air. Error's sockets widened in surprise, not used to me attacking so vigorously as he was hit. He flung back, crashing to the ground with a violent crack of his bones.
This was my chance! Finally, I could beat him!
I grinned, racing forwards as Error groggily sat up from the ground. My scarf fluttered out behind me as I prepared my last attack, lifting my paintbrush to give the final blow. Error's eyelights flashed as he caught sight of me, but- there was no fear. Not a trace of worry or anxiousness. Why was he suddenly so confident-
