"Bye, Harley! Thanks for the lift!" You called from your front porch, waving as Harley's car pulled away from the curb. You watched as it made its way down the road, driving out of sight.
It was a bit cooler today, thank god. Still, you wouldn't have wanted to walk home like you usually did- you didn't want to run into those guys again. You sighed, straightening the tote bag on your shoulder.
You'd have to save up some money for a car. You couldn't keep walking everywhere and letting Harley drive you home. Then again, you were trying to save up your money to buy that camera...
Sighing, you rubbed your face.
Nothing could be simple, could it?
The door suddenly swung open behind you, and you jumped, pulling your hands away from your face. Turning your head, you peered over your shoulder to catch sight of a familiar pale skeleton standing in the doorway. He blinked at you, his colorful eyelights seeming to shimmer a bit in the sunlight.
"Welcome home?" He offered, giving a small smile.
You raised a brow in your amusement, pushing your former thoughts to the side as you chuckled. "Thanks," You mumbled, turning around to face him as he stepped out of the doorway. You ambled inside, giving Ink a quick nod as you walked passed him. He smiled, shutting the door quietly behind you as you threw your tote bag off to the side, sighing as you pulled your hair from your face.
It took you a moment to register a delicious smell wafting from your nearby kitchen.
Blinking, you let your arms flop back down to your sides. You turned, gazing into the kitchen with a slight frown. You could make out a couple plates resting on your small kitchen table, beckoning you to take a closer look. Giving Ink an odd glance, you slowly made your way into your kitchen, narrowing your eyes at the food. A couple tacos were set on each plate, and it took you a moment to register where this food came from.
You looked behind you to where Ink was standing, watching you with a small smile. You paused, giving him a weird look.
"Are you... expecting someone?" You mumbled, sticking your hands into your jean pockets. You knew it was a possibility that Ink had made this for the two of you, but you weren't used to this kind of treatment. Eating wasn't a big priority of yours, and you only ate when you felt you needed to. Honestly, you found the entire situation to be awkward- how were you supposed to do this?
Ink chuckled, shrugging. "Besides you? Nah, not really." He nodded towards the table, giving you an encouraging smile. "Go ahead, sit down,"
Your gaze flickered back to the tacos and you had an immediate flashback of your grandmother trying to make you eat shit all the time. You would politely say no, but she'd keep insisting, always coming up with different food ideas to see if she could change your mind.
Pursing your lips, you made your way to your seat, pulling it out and plopping into it's wooden stature. You shifted uncomfortably as Ink took a seat in front of you, and you couldn't help but notice he was wearing his weird outfit again.
"You really didn't have to do this," You murmured, your gaze flickering down to the two tacos on your plate. You didn't know where to look, so you settled on staring at the food. You hoped you weren't giving off any weird vibes.
Ink shrugged, leaning back in his chair. You kind of wished you had his confidence. "Well, since your letting me stay here,, I couldn't simply intrude. So, I decided to make you dinner!" He explained simply, resting an arm on the table.
