On our way back Maria was more interested by the many huts and houses. I tried multiple times to take her wrist and drag her myself but she managed to wiggle free and go run off some more.
'Why does she have to make this so difficult?' I was getting annoyed with her.
We promised Romeo we would be back in 10 minutes but look how far we'd gotten, we had been out for about 30 at this point. I felt bad for him. He probably thought we were never coming back.
*
After about 45 minutes the two of us FINALLY got back.
"My legs hurt!" Celeste whined.
"Well maybe it's because you kept on running away from me!" I snapped back. I may have said it too rudely.
"Alright chill, miss sassy pants." I glared at her. "Hehe.. we should go back?"
"I would be honoured.." I said stamping away across the dusty ground.
I heard her giggle before she caught up and walked beside me.
*10 minutes later*
"You're back!" Romeo cheered from outside the hut.
"Yup.. finally." I felt Celeste nudge me in the arm before walking in.
" I don't know about you Maria, but I definitely need sleep. It's been a long day."
"Couldn't agree more." I said placing my bag down on the ground.
"I better head to bed too.. I'll be in the room opposite if you need me."
We both waved to Romeo as he walked into his room and closed the door. Celeste skipped into our room, which unfortunately, only had one bed.
"Guess we are gonna have to share a bed." Celeste said jumping onto the bed.
I rolled my eyes but I didn't feel like sleeping on the floor so I got in next to her. I really hoped she didn't snore. Well she didn't the first night, so I couldn't see how this night was going to be much different. Except I was wrong. She snored so loudly that night I couldn't even sleep.
Not like I was gonna confront her.. but I REALLY wanted to.
I guess I was gonna have to deal with this all night...
