Young Justice: Batgirl

Chapter 5

Mount Justice
2am (5 hours later)

"What the Hell happened?!" Screamed Batman to the team. The seven of them hang their heads in shame. They are cut, bruised and beaten. Aqualad raises his head and speaks to Batman. He can see the anger and rage in his eyes.

"We underestimated the Joker when Robin warned us not to." Started Kaldur.

"We were not paying attention to the Joker until we saw he lit the building ablaze. We soon became cornered and I fell due to the fire being too hot as well as Miss Martian."

Kid-Flash cuts him off.
"Robin ordered that Me, Zantana, and Superboy get Aqualad, Artemis, and Miss M out. The only way out was a hole in the sealing. Robin had nothing to latch on to with the grapnel and when I was able to return, he insisted on me taking her." Wally glares at Batgirl who turned away.

"I took her to the Bioship and when I came running back, the building exploded and Eventually Artemis, Superboy and I found where Robin was. He had been taken by The Joker."

Batman's fist begins to clenched. You can tell he was angry.

"So what you're saying is that you had an un-coordinated plan which resulted in the capture of your teammate." He begun.

"Well it's Her Fault, Robin wanted me to take her." Said Wally.

"And if you didn't hesitated you would of had enough time to get to the Bioship and back or even just set her at the perimeter." Said Batman. "Your actions today will be noted. " He begins to walk away.

"But..." Wally began.
"NO!" Said Batman turning around, his caped flapping. The team steps back due to the anger they see. Wally begins to tremble.

"You let a homicidal clown kidnap my Son and is holding him hostage because you have a grudge on a girl that can't join the team. Our main priority is finding Robin." Batman leaves.

Barbara walks away.

"Where are you going?" Screamed Zantana angrily. " You think you can come in here, act like Robin is yours and now walk away when YOU are the reason he's captured?"

Barbara stops and turns around.
"You don't even know his real name do you?"

Zantana stays quiet. Wally clenches his fist with anger.

"Why don't you head Back to Gotham now, your not welcomed here. Since you don't even want to join the team."

"Is this all because I won't join the team?! You heard Batman I can't!"

"Your a joke." Said Wally. "No way your Robin's best friend."

"Why don't you go jump off a bridge." Scream Barbara.

"That's it you little prick, you are so dead."

"Wally!" Yelled Artemis. Wally looks down at the floor. Kaldur starts walking toward Batgirl. He stops and turns around and speaks to The team.

"If Robin witnessed what just occurred, I feel he would be disappointed with us."
