Young Justice: Batgirl

Chapter 8

Dick hung from the wall tired and defeated. Harley patched him up a few moments earlier, after Joker's latest wrath.

Joker stands on the catwalk as it moves closer to Dick.

"Wakey Wakey, Eggs and Backe!" The Clown said with the sound of evil joy in his voice.

"You probably love it here, but unfortunately we need to move to a more secure location."

"Where is this place at? I can't exactly alert Batman." Said Dick.

"True, all very true Boy- but your not the only one with tricks up his sleeves. Don't worry your not going to die, yet. Ha ha ha!"

"Send The Henchmen, we are moving him now." 5 Henchmen walk on the catwalk. Dick notices that the goons aren't the smartest of the batch.

"Quit Shoving."
"Hey watch it, I'm not falling to my Death!"
"Phil, quit Holding on to me!"
"I'm afraid of heights man!"
"Anyone know what time the game is tonight?"

The five finally make it over to Robin. The main thug grabs Robin's arm and cuts the Titanium reinforced cuffs. Robin soon collapses on the Floor.

"Pick him up." Ordered one thug.
"I don't think so." Robin jumps up and hops over the railing. Falling down the sewer place to the rushing waters below. Joker bursts into the chamber and grabs his side arm. He fires rounds Into the water, barely missing The Boy Wonder. There is an awkward silence with the henchmen staring at Joker who has his head down and cursing and grumbling under his breathe.

"Find Him, Find Him Now!" Screamed Joker angry. His right arm had the gun raised pointing it at the mooks.

"On it boss."

Gotham
11:34 am

The rest of the Team walks around Gotham looking for a trace of Robin. Conner decided to check down by the waterfront.

"Superboy, what's your status?" Asked Kaldur over the ear piece.

"Nothing, but I got some crooks up ahead. I'll see if they have anything."

Conner walks over to the Men. They wore Gray hoodies and had red Lipstick at the ends of their lips.

"Hey!" Yelled Conner.
"Hey to you stranger." Said one.
"I need info on where The Joker is."
"Does it look like...." The clown began but Conner grabbed the thug by his throat. The others backed off.

"Alright, I'll spill." He squealed. "Joker was at the old main sewer junction before the renovation project a few years back!"

Conner throws the clown into a pile of trash and heads out.

"Guys, Robin is somewhere near the Main Sewer Junctions." He radioed.

"I'll contact Batgirl and we can compare notes." Said Aqualad.

Underground:

Barbara and M'Gann walk through the murky waters of the sewers. Barbara watches her Hologram Projection comparing notes sent by Aqualad.

"The others will meet us at the sewer entrance underrate 58th." Said Barbara. "It's about 7 minutes if we run." The Two head down the tunnels. M'Gann decides to create small talk through the psychic link to make it easier for Babs.

M'Gann: "Are you scared?"
Batgirl: "Batman and Robin taught me to not let my emotions get the better of me during a mission."

M'Gann: "I know the others haven't been the kindest, but they really are great people."

Batgirl: "Kaldur and I already had this talk, but thanks Megan."

M'Gann: "We'll find Robin. Everyone is just a little stressed out. He's like a Brother to us. And he seems like a great son to Batman."

Batgirl: "Yeah, he sure is."

The two meet at the Rendezvous point. Babs and Megan wait about 15 seconds before Kid-Flash comes bursting in through the sewer hatch from above. The other teens soon climb down.

"The Main Sewer Junction could be crawling with Joker goons." Said Batgirl taking charge of the situation. Barbara turns in her Detective Mode to look around the area. Wally raises an eyebrow and then turns his head still uneasy with Batgirl. Zantana does the same.

"Four Joker thugs with three of them containing Semi-Automatics and one with a Shotgun." Said Barbara.

"Anything else?" Said Conner ready to take them down.

"All four are nervous with an average heart rate of 120 beats per minute. This water value to my right can send hot steam out if punched with a great amount force. The Guns also seem to be fully loaded. Taking them out silently could be the best option." Said Barbara.

"You got all of that from your bat vision thing?" Asked Artemis.

"Pretty much, Robin, Batman and I all have it." Said Barbara with a smile.

"You said Silently taking them down, but all four are in a location where if we are not fast enough then the mission is at risk." Said Kaldur.

"I'll just run on by and.." Started Wally before getting cut off by Barbara.

"Just watch and learn Kid-Idiot." Said Batgirl as she snuck into the darkness. Like a ninja (Or a Very Skilled Arkham City player) she takes down all the foes with a silent takedown. Followed with some ledge takedowns. Barbara returns with not a scratch on her.

"Let's move, Apparently Robin escaped." Said Barbara.

"And how could you possibly know that?" Asked Zantana with an attitude.

"Because Houdini, I hacked into their radios automatically with the receiver in my Cowl. Joker is ticked." Batgirl finished and the others nodded as they head deeper into the Gotham Sewers.
