Young Justice: Batgirl

Chapter 6

Barbara sits in Dick's room, letting a tear fall from her face. Barbara thinks to herself.

"They can't be this mean, can they? What if I join the team? No Dad will become suspicious where I'm going everyday. Even that, I barely make it by with the whole sneaking out at night thing." There is a knock.

Kaldur walks in.
"I'm sorry if I am interrupting something."

"No your fine." Said Batgirl wiping the tear off her face. "You're not here to say it was my fault?"

"It was all of our faults, the team, not yours."

"Did you explain that to them?"

"I fear the reason they aren't the nicest to you are for some factors. One being that how Robin has acted since you arrived. Are you two close?"

"We aren't related of that's what your asking but we are close."

"The anger towards you might be anger meant for Robin. Kid-Flash feels pushed to the side, and Zantana is jealous of you."

"How do you know this?"

"I can see it. The fact is, you got nothing to prove here. Understand that when Robin returns, we will all sort this matter out."

"Thank you Aqualad."

"Call me Kaldur."

Batman enters the room.
"Good just the people I wanted to see."

"What is it Batman?" Asked Barbara.
"I've noticed the team is bothersome to you." He stated.

"Kaldur and I just talked about it."

"Good, get some rest, patrol will begin at 9am around Gotham looking for Robin." Said Batman.

"Batman are you okay?" Asked Barbara.
"Just get some rest, you'll sleep in here tonight." Batman leaves. Aqualad follows. He stops and turns around.

"If you need anything, My room is two doors down. This way." He said Pointing to the right.

"Good Night." Said Aqualad.
"Good Night."

Barbara closes the door and looks around Dick's room. Barbara walks over to Dick's secret storage room next to his closet. Inside was his costume and a desk. She notices a picture with the two of them at school taking a selfie in class. Around the picture frame the words, "best friends forever!" With the initials DG and BG on the bottom left hand corner.

"Dick where are you."

Robin slowly awakens, his eyes blurred and dazed. He noticed that he is strapped to the wall, his utility belts gone. Below, there is no floor, just a bottomless pit. He sees Waterfalls on his left and right. Infront is the Clown Prince of Crime, Joker. Standing at the edge of a catwalk which appears to be moving toward him.

"Ah Robin, so glad your awake." Robin doesn't reply. "How life being a teenager hmm? The temptation with girls, homework, puberty." Robin continues to stay quiet with a glare on his face. Joker glares back.

"Just like Batman, not saying anything." Joker grabs his knife and slices Robin's Leg. Blood begins to flow. As Robin screams in pain.

"I never liked that." Joker sliced multiple times to Robin's chest, Arms, and legs. The blood flows down on to the mobile catwalk.

"Don't worry Boy Blunder, I'm not going to kill you yet. But that doesn't mean I won't hurt you. Ha ha!"

Joker begins to walk away and after a brief moment Harley Quinn starts walking in. Harley wore a red dress and had her hair down. She held bandages and medical supplies.

"Too bad I didn't bring my tux." Said Robin with a smirk.

"Sorry kid. You're a little too young for me." Said Harley.

"So what's the occasion?"
"I need to head out. That's all you need to know."

"Oh the blonde knows when to be audible and inaudible."

"Ha, Jokes on You, I'm not really a blonde." She said with her Jersey-Gothic Assent. The Catwalk disappears behind her as she heads out the chamber.

"Oh God, what is she going to do?"
