Chapter 7

Mount Justice
8:39 am

Barbara walks out of Dick's Room and heads over to the kitchen.

"Wonder what Kid-Idiot and Magic girl or whatever her name is are going to insult me with next." She thought to herself.

Barbara walks into the living quarters to see everyone eating some breakfast.

"Morning." Said Megan flying over to Barbara.

"Good Morning." Barbara walks over to the kitchen to make some cereal. Wally and Zantana state at her from across the way. Artemis punches Wally In the shoulder.

"Ow!"
"Will you stop it?" She said Annoyed.

"Team report to the mission room, now." Said Batman over the PA.

"Guess cereal will have to wait." Said Barbara putting up the milk.

"You can take a granola bar." Said Kaldur walking to Barbara. "Kid keeps a pack underneath the sink."

"Hey!" Wally yelled.
"Thanks Kaldur." Said Barbara.

The Team meets in the center room.
Batman begins to speak.

"Last night, Harley Quinn snuck into Arkham Asylum and stole some medical equipment. The video shows that she was able to get out fast. I was able to interrogate a joker thug into giving five possible locations for where the Joker is hiding out. All turned out to be False. But I noticed a pattern in the locations, all the locations were closed down due to plumbing problems."

"What are you saying Batman?" Asked Kaldur.

"I'm saying that Joker is somewhere in Gotham's underground sewer and/or subway system."

"It's a maze down there Batman." Said Barbara.

"Correct. Until I can be 100% positive that Joker is down there, our best bet is to look at Joker's old hideout in West Gotham. The Abandoned Comedy Club called Old'Gags. The Team will observe the area and club itself. Batgirl and Aqualad will co-lead this mission."

"What?!" Batgirl, Zantana, and Wally yelled at the same time.

"Batgirl knows Gotham better then any of you seven."

"What About Artemis, clearly she..." Wally began but Artemis stopped him.

"Wally come on!"
Wally sighed before nodding his head.

"You leave in five minutes." Batman said before leaving.

Gotham City
9:15 am

The Gothic Architecture of Downtown Gotham can be seen in the background as The Team stands on a roof in West Gotham. The team had street clothes in a suitcase.

"North is The Neighborhood area of this district and South is the power plants." Said Batgirl.

"I see the comedy club." Said Superboy looking at what seemed to be nothing to the human eye.

"Miss Martian, Batgirl, observe the sight with caution. The rest of us will blend in with the neighborhood. Trying to find other leads." Ordered Aqualad.

"Don't screw it up Rat-Girl." Said Zantana walking away.

"At least I don't look like a magician from for a kid's Birthday party while fighting crime. My costume actually has a tactical purpose." Said Barbara jumping off the roof with Miss Martian. Zantana glares at her and looks around the area for clues.

The Watchtower
9:30 am EST

Batman sits at the computer in his office looking over some paperwork for The Justice League. Bruce had his hands in his head and looked down trying to think of where the Joker took Dick.

"My fault. I shouldn't have let them go after Joker." He muttered to himself. Bruce stands up and puts his cowl back on. He walks over to the window behind him to look out into space. There is a knock at the door.

"Yes Clark?" Said Batman before even turning around.

"And they call me Superman." He said with a Smile.

"I'm busy."
"I know, just wanted to check in."

Batman stayed mute as he continued to look out into the depth of space.

"Right, well you know where to find me, I have to head out to Mars and help Manhunter with the telescopes the Martians been wanting." Clark begins to leave.

"Oh and Bruce, we are going to find Dick."

Gotham City

Miss M and Batgirl slowly creep into the back of The Comedy Club.

"Do you think it's abandoned?" Asked M'Gann telepathically. Barbara jumps and almost screams before putting her hand on her Mouth.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry- I guess we never had a telepathic conversation. The team and I use this all the time, Better than radio."

"That's so cool." Said Barbara with a smile.

"Let's get inside."

The Comedy Club was dark and quiet. The Windows were boarded up with the early morning sunlight peeking through the cracks. M'Gann and Barbara search around the entire facility.

"Anything?" Thought Barbara.
"Nothing." Replied M'Gann. The two head into a storage room.

"Wait." Thought Barbara. She stepped inside the storage room and looks behind a crate full of wine.

"This crate looks new." Thought Barbara.

"If Robin was here, he would be able to look at the building's records with his Arm device." Said Megan.

"He's not the only one who has one of those." Barbara with a smirk on her face turned on a Holographic Records Document. She scrolls through the records.

"This Club was closed down 3 years ago, and even then- it was horrible. It failed the Health Inspection and always had horrible hygiene."

M'Gann's eyes glowed Green and the box began to move. It revealed an old rusted sewer grate.

"Let's Go." Barbara opened the hatch and jumped into the Sewers. Miss M sooner followed.
