Young Justice: Batgirl

Chapter 10

Mount Justice
2:33 am

Dick Slowly opens his eyes. He sees blinding bright lights and hears sound of humming machines. The door opens to see Batman.

"How are you feeling?" Asked Batman.
"Lousy. What happened?" Asked Robin.

"Beside Joker Kidnapping you, the Team found you laying unconscious on top of the Monarch Theater. They brought you through the Bioship to the cave, seeing that They don't know of The Batcave. The Team is hitting the showers now, except for Barbara."

As soon as her name is said she woke into the room and immediately hugs Dick.

"So glad to have you back." Said Barbara. Just then an alarm sounds throughout the cave. Batman leaves the room and heads to the Zetatubes. The other members of the team who are walking back from the showers notice Batman sprinting to the Zetatubes. Kaldur questions Batman as Bruce punches in the coordinates for Gotham.

"What is the emergency Batman?"
"Joker is on the move, the motion alerts I installed in Gotham picked him up near The Dixon Docks. He's heading South to The Diamond District."

Batman leaves as the Team looks confused.

Gotham City
2:40 pm

The City has been in a frenzy as The Clown Prince of Crime threatened to Blow Wayne Tower to a pile of Rubble. As well as other key locations in Gotham.

The Batmobile roared down the street as The Joker's Get Away car swerved through Downtown Gotham. Joker's Men fire their Rocket Launchers at the Batmobile, causing Batman to swerve into cars and trees.

"Ha ha Ha! Laughed the Joker. Vicki Vale from Gotham News flies inside the helicopter covering all the action.

"This is Vicki Vale for Gotham News and we are witnessing the dangerous showdown of The Joker and The Caped Crusader himself, Batman."

The Two automobiles stop in Gotham Square. Police order people to evacuate as Joker throws grenades at the Civilians. Batman lurks from the shadows as Joker grabs a megaphone from the trunk of his car.

"Greetings Gotham! The Clown Prince of Crime here to explain how Tonight Gotham will belong to me and how Bat-Guano who hides right above is, will burn in hell for foiling with my plan."

Batman glares at the Clown.

Meanwhile At Mount Justice:

Dick and the others watch the TV as Joker stands in Gotham Square with A submachine gun in hand.

"We should have gone out there." Said Robin.

"Are you crazy, you've been basically tortured for the past few days." Said Artemis.

"He can manage it." Said Batgirl, making Dick Blush. Zantana narrows her eyes at Barbara. Dick notices and begins to question the team.

"So has everyone gotten along while I was away?" He asked. The team stayed quiet not wanting to answer until Wally finally confessed.

"Fine, Some of us were just a little ticked because when Batgirl first came, all you did was spend time with her. We've been honestly giving her a hard time."

Dick sat there frozen at what Wally said. Trying to comprehend it. Suddenly the sound of Gunfire filled the air as The kids turn to see Joker shooting at the cop cars. Then from the corner of the picture, a winged feature, with the wingspan of 30 ft glides in and kicks The Joker in the face.

The camera picks up the fight as everyone sits back and watches Batman take down the Joker.

"Oh yeah! Way to go Batman!" Said Megan with excitement. Robin just stare at the TV with his eyes widened as he watched Batman's Body Movements. The blows were too critical and seemed too force. The anger can be seen in his eyes as other mooks try to take The Bat down. A simple punch to the groin, or jaw or kick to the stomach resulted in the thug to fall.

Most of the Teenagers in the room didn't notice, except for Dick.

"He's going to kill him." Dick whispered.
The room for silent as The team realized what Robin said.

"Robin what do you mean?" Asked Artemis.

"The blows are too critical and the fighting style is that of which Master Kirgi taught Batman when he was training him is that if one to cripple the foe." Robin Answered. "He called it the Reaper Fighting Style." Everyone turns their head to The TV as Batman starts using his gadgets. The Batarangs slicing Joker's bleached Skin. The Shock Gloves Sending a pulsing sensation through The Joker's Body. The Team stand/sit in horror as A Murder is about to undergo.

Barbara turns to see what Dick is going to only notice that he's gone. The Sound of the ZetaTube echoes throughout the cave.

"Robin B01. ZetaTube Teleporters are now offline due to Hack in Mainframe."
