Gwen and I walk out of the Stacy's apartment around 9:00 a.m. I have a valentines day surprise for her. "Hey, do you want to get a coffee?" I ask her as we walk down the sidewalk, hand in hand. "Sure!" We walk into the nearest Starbucks and order coffee. Then we take a seat next to the window and talk. "So, this surprise..." She starts. "Gwen. It's a surprise. I can't tell you anything." I say as I laugh, her impatience is adorable. "Aww man! I can't take it anymore! It's killing me!" She pleads with me, making big puppy dog eyes and pouting. "Gwen, you know that's cute but it's not gonna work." I tell her, leaning in close so that our faces are a couple inches apart. I stare at her eyes as she bites her lip and stares at my mouth. She leans in for the kiss, but I slowly pull away. "Peter! What the?" She exclaims, disappointed. "Aww, Gwen, that's gotta wait for the surprise." I tell her with a wink. "Okay, let's go Peter you're killing me I'm gonna hurt you if we don't go now." She says. "Okay, okay let's go." We get up and leave the shop, walking side by side, hand in hand. We walk for five minutes when Peter pulls me into a nearby alley. "Okay. Gwen, hang on to me. We're gonna swing there. Okay?" "Okay." She says as she holds on to me. I swing her to the top of the clock tower we always go to. We arrive and I set her down gently. She gasps at what she sees. Spread out on the floor is a bunch of blankets and pillows. On a nearby table is a vase filled with red and pink roses. Lanterns hang from the rafters and lights are strung everywhere. "Peter....this is spectacular! Oh my god!" She whispers in a soft, astounded voice. "So....you like it?" I ask her, shifting my feet and looking at the ground. "Peter. Hey." She grabs my chin and softly pushes my head up, making me look at her. "It's wonderful. And amazing. Just like you. Of course I love it." She smiles at me, and I smile back. "So...there's this dance...." I start. "A dance? Where?" "Oh, downtown. It's a Valentines Day dance. Would you like to go?" "Of course! Oh my gosh Peter this is amazing!" She looks at me with an ecstatic smile. She hugs me and squeezes me tight, and I do the same. I'm so excited I pick her up and spin her around. Then I set her down and stare into her vibrant eyes, so filled with love and joy. We lean in, and she states at my lips and bites her lip. "Peter?" She says, not taking her eyes off my lips. "Yes?" "You'll let me kiss you now, right?" "Hmmm..." I hesitate in a sarcastic way, and she smiles. Then she closes the gap and kisses me passionately. I return the wild kiss and hug her even tighter. Her arms wrap around my neck and into my hair as we kiss. Eventually we break away and stare at each other, both lost in the moment. "Right. That dance. You're mom is coming with us and we need to get ready. Your mom picked out you're dress." I tell her. She agrees and looks very excited. "First, there's one more surprise for right now, and the rest is for tonight." "There's more?!" "Yep." "Okay." We swing away from the tower and towards the Brooklyn bridge. I land on a nearby building so that we get a clear view. "Gwen. I love you. You're my everything, my world, my soul mate. You're always there for me, and you help me find myself when I can't. You're always there for others, too, not just for me. And your so damn smart, and beautiful, and kind. You're perfect, and I thank God that I have you in my life and that someone like you would ever love me. I love you more than I can say." I tell her, starting to cry. She starts to cry as she listens to me and reads my message on the bridge. The message reads "I love you Gwen Stacy. Happy Valentines Day." I wrote it on the bridge in webs. "Oh Peter! Oh my gosh this is the sweetest thing anyone's done for me and I love you too. Way too much to say, but I'm the one who's lucky to have you. You're the selfless, loyal, brave, intelligent, handsome, honest guy that everyone loves. But I was the lucky own who won your heart. Thank you, and I love you too." She tells me. We both cry and wipe away each other's tears. Our happiness is overwhelming and it takes a while to calm down. Afterwards we make our way back to the Stacy's apartment to get ready for the dance.
