Gwen and I finish Finding Nemo and fall asleep wrapped in each other's arms. As I'm falling asleep beside Gwen (whos already asleep), I think of how lucky I am to have her. Gwen, who is the smartest, the prettiest, and the nicest girl at Midtown Science. How could she ever have fallen for a nerdy, bullied, troubled kid like me? She's been there for me through thick and thin, she's always been there and she always knows what to say to make me feel better. I put our love in jeopardy but I realize now what a mistake ignoring her was. She's so special, so important that I would never end that. I glance down at her head on my chest, blonde hair fanning out across my chest and ceiling her lovely face. Her eyes are closed, eyelids fluttering slightly in her sleep. Just looking at her gives me pleasant tingles in my spine, my heart twists and sends a warm feeling to my stomach, and happiness drowns out everything else. I squeeze her tighter knowing that she will be there when I wake up.
THE NEXT MORNING
I wake up before Gwen, so I rise to take a shower. After my shower I come back to Gwen's room to find her still sleeping. I slid back into bed and lift her so that her head is resting once again on my chest. She shifts slightly but doesn't wake up. I gently play with the ends of her hair and watch her sleep. She's so beautiful, I never get tired of looking at her. I lean my head back and rest it against the headboard. I feel slim arms wrap around my abdomen and gently squeeze me. I look down to see that Gwen is awake and has hugged me, but still with her eyes closed. I sigh and lean back once more. A few seconds later I feel soft lips on mine and warm hands on my cheeks. "Gwen." I breathe as she softly kisses me. "Yes, bug boy?" She whispers just before a yawn escapes her mouth. "You're awake." I tell her, stating the obvious. "Well, I can't leave my gorgeous boyfriend alone forever!" She says with a laugh as she pulls me down so that I'm laying flat against the bed. Then she lies beside me so that we are facing each other, our faces inches away. "So. What to do today?" I ask her. "Still no duties as the city hero?" She asks me with disbelief in her voice. "Nope. I promised remember? And besides, I love spending time with you promise or no promise." I tell her, nudging her nose with mine. "Well, I know what we're doing today then!" She tells me, resting her forehead on mine. I look deep into her eyes and ask "what are we doing?" "We're going to do karaoke!" She tells me with a wide smile on her face. "What! Noooo!" I protest in a sarcastic tone, backing away from her. "Oh Peter, come on! Just try it please?" She tries to persuade me, her arms reaching out to embrace me as I move away. "No no no no no no no! I can't do that! No!" I say mockingly again, leaping up and sticking to the ceiling so that I'm facing looking down at her. "Come on. Just try it. For me?" She pleads, looking up and me and giving me the puppy dog eyes. I can't resist. "All right. I suppose..." I relent, sighing in the process. "Yes! Peter this is gonna be so funny!" She says, laughing. "Okay Pete come down." She tells me. "Why? I gotta fake song later. I don't wanna do anything for you." I tease. "Oh please. I just want to cuddle! You know you want to!" She says with a wink. "Fudge. FIIINNNEEE." I hiss through my teeth knowing I can't resist. My self control is really awful. I unstick myself from the ceiling and lightly drop to the foot of the bed. From there she wraps her arms around my neck and pulls me toward her so that I'm laying beside her. She then places her head on my chest and I wrap my arms around her. She lets out a content sigh. "Peter, I love you." She says looking at me with a brightness in her eyes that can only be described as deep affection. I look deep into her eyes and lean forward. "I love you too Gwen." We both lean in until our lips meet. Our lips move slowly and softly in sync for a few seconds before I pull away. We look at each other gonna few seconds before she buries her head in my chest again. "Just hold me for a few minutes. Then we can get breakfast." She tells me, her voice muffled in my chest. "Okay. As long as you want." I tell her, perfectly happy to fulfill her wishes and desires. I sigh and hug her tighter.
