Gwen disappears upstairs and so I go visit with Helen. We talk about how bad my karaoke skills are and how I'm going to humiliate myself. As we're speaking of this, Gwen walks into the room. She's wearing jeweled jeans, a purple blouse, a necklace, and vans. She decided to keep her hair down and applied minimal makeup. I think she looks amazing. "Gwen, you look amazing." I tell her, knowing full well she's beautiful and I'm not afraid to tell her. "Thanks Pete! Do we need to stop by your house so you can change?" She asks me. "Yeah, that's a good idea." I tell her. Then she walks over to the armchair I'm sitting in and sits on my lap. I let out an 'oof!' as she sits on me. Once her weight is comfortable I wrap my arms around her and rest my head on her shoulder. "Aw, you guys are so cute!" Helen squeals, and me and Gwen smile at each other. "Well, we better get going." Gwen tells me, so we get up and say goodbye to Helen. Then we drive to my house so I can change. When we arrive at my house Gwen waits in the living room while I go upstairs to change. May is gone for work. I decide to wear my nicest pair of blue jeans, a black v-neck that nicely shows off my muscled torso and arms, black vans, and over my shirt I throw my black leather jacket which I zip up halfway. I rake my hands through my hair once to get it smoothed down and flowing the right direction. Then I leave the room to rejoin Gwen. "Peter, you look so good!" Gwen exclaims, giving me a once over. "Oh yeah, you think I pass?" I ask her, stepping closer so that we are a few feet away from each other. "Yes, you definitely pass. I'm gonna have to hold all the other girls back." She says, taking a step closer so that we are inches away. "No, there are no other girls for me." I tell her, inching my face down towards hers. She slowly lifts her face up to mine, our eyes locked on each other's until we close them for the kiss. I embrace her as we kiss passionately. Our lips move in sync, hers so soft against mine. I pull away and continue to embrace Gwen, my arms wrapped around her waist. "Okay Bug Boy, we better get going." She says. "Okay." I reply, and I swing her up in my arms bridal style. I then carry her easily out to the car and we drive to the place. We get out to see many people walking in. When we walk in, we see a large room with colored lights, speakers, a stage, and refreshment tables. We make our way to the tables at the sides of the room to wait for the beginning. Gwen and I hold hands as we sit beside each other. Suddenly a lady gets up on stage and announces into the microphone the safeties, criteria, etc. Then a volunteer got up and started to sing along with Uptown Funk. The people not singing were dancing. "This is that ice cold, Michelle Pfeiffer that white gold. This ones for them good girls, them good girls straight masterbeat." They sang, and so on. Gwen gets up and drags me onto the dance floor so that we can dance to Uptown Funk. I reluctantly agree and soon we are dancing amidst a giant crowd of people. I then excuse myself to go take off my jacket. When I come back I see an angry Gwen arguing with a guy who looks to be about 16. I only catch part of the conversation. "How dare you call me a bitch! I didn't do anything, what was that for?!" She asks him, anger showing plainly on her face. "Oh I don't know, you just look like the bitch type. You know. Nerdy, ugly, fat, unintelligent. All of which is you." He says. At that moment Gwen explodes. She throws her paper cup full of water at him and charges out of the room. I quickly cut through the crowd and follow her. I find her outside the building sitting on the steps, her head in her hands. I hear sniffling as I approach. She hears me and turns around. "Peter?" She asks, unsure of who I may be. "I'm here. What happened? Are you okay?" I ask, thoroughly concerned. "That-that guy called me a bitch! I didn't-didn't do any-anything and he-he called me a lot of offensive names." She says, stuttering as she begins to cry. I sit beside her and wrap my arms protectively around her. She automatically leans against me and hugs my shoulders tight. I hear doors opening behind me and I turn around to see the guy. He has with him three friends. "See, there's the bitch! I told you she's ugly and fat." He says, all his comrades laughing. I look at Gwen and give her a look as if to say 'can I go spidey on them and beat them up?' And she nods. I slowly get up and turn around so that I'm facing them. "Oh, looky here. And who's this? The little bitch's boy toy? Should've known." He says, to which I reply "No, I'm her boyfriend." And then I wrap him up and hang him from the roof upside down with my webs. His friends are astonished and try to run, but I web them down and they join their leader. Gwen gets up and walks beside me. "Thanks Pete. You're the best boyfriend ever." She tells me, giving me a quick kiss on the lips. "No problem. Care to do the honors?" I ask her. "I'd love to." She says as she viciously kicks every one of them in the spot where it hurts. Then I give them all a hard right cross to the face. We then walk inside, Gwen hanging onto my arm the whole way in. As we enter, Fishin in the Dark starts to play. "May I have this dance?" I ask Gwen, offering my hand palm up. "Yes you may." She answers, placing her hand in mine palm down. We then begin to jitterbug, doing the window, the tabletop, octopus/pretzel, candlestick, sweeper, and flips. We are pros at dancing, and when the song finishes we notice that others had stopped to watch us. As we walk off the dance floor to get water, everyone claps. Gwen and I blush, and wait as the next song comes on.
