[2.7] The Scorch

The search helicopters had died down, they weren't flying overhead anymore. Ok, what now Isa. Her eyes roamed the building she was in, old blankets, random pieces of clothing, weapons. Weapons. There were knives spread about for her to take her pick. Luckily she still had on her leather vest, she tucked knives into any pocket she could, the more weapons the better. She grabbed a random bag and dusted it off before starting to dig through the piles of left clothing and stuffing things in it. She wanted to live now, Janson didn't know anything.

"Welcome to hell." Startled by the voice, Isa turned around, knife in hand. "Calm down, I'm not gonna hurt you, just wanna know who you are." She slowly placed the knife back in her vest, not saying a word. In front of her stood two girls, the one who had been talking was tall, her hair was long and dark, black maybe, it was hard to tell. The other girl was just barely shorter, her hair was brown and shorter too but pulled back into a ponytail. "Ok I'll start then," she jumped down from the ledge she was standing on coming face to face with Isa. "I'm Natalie, this is Maya. What about you, what's your name?"

"Isadora, Isa."

"You came from Wicked huh?" Maya spoke up finally, her voice softer than Natalie's.

"How did you know that?" Her hand reached up to rub the back of her neck.

"We did too, know what it looks like." Natalie started again, it was silent for a moment. "I think we should introduce you to someone, come with us." She turned and started walking.

"Where? Who do you want to introduce me to?" She kept walking, forcing Isa to follow.

"We are going to our home, need to introduce you to Jorge." Noticing the confusion on Isa's face she continued. "We live further out, closer to the mountains. Maya and I go out once a month for new supplies, sometimes people get lucky, you are one of those people. Jorge will take you in, we're all like a family. Sick scar by the way." Family huh?
