Please be a peaceful night, please please be a peaceful night. That night was anything but.

She was younger now, maybe five, it was a grocery store. Faces still blurry. There was a man and a woman near her, along with another girl, maybe ten. The ground started to shake, it was difficult to stand. The man pulled her to the ground hovering over them as if to block them from falling debris. What's going on?

"Daddy? I'm scared." Was that me? I didn't say that.

"I know, I am too honey but it's ok. It's just a little earthquake ok. It'll be over soon." The man hovering over her responded. Lights shattered and screams sounded from different directions until it stopped, all of it just stopped. Before Isa could stand up the scene switched.

-/-/-

Now she was standing at the bottom of stairs, the same girl standing next to her, she looked a little bit older now.

"Mommy killed herself. Daddy threw her away." What? I've seen this before, the woman with the knife, was that my mother? The girl standing in front of her slowly sunk to the ground sitting on the lowest stair before Isa did too, unable to control her own body.

"Mommy killed herself. Daddy threw her away." The girl repeated. It changed again

There was a man infront of her, she felt older now, the man looked sickly, similar to what Justin looked like.

"These nice people are going to take you away honey. Just do what they say, they are going to help you." Help me? Help me how? Before she could ask anymore questions, it changed again.

Another familiar room, she's seen this before, the targets at the end of the room and the weapons on the wall. A man walked in with a young girl.

"Isadora, this is your training partner, Harriett." Training partner, I was in training. Training for what? Where am I?

-/-/-

A loud noise rang through her ears. You know, I'm getting really tired of this.

"What are these alarms for?" The sound of her own voice yelling caused her ears to ring more. A man walked next to her, he looked like a bodyguard.

"The boys like to ignore the rules, they use the vents to sneak out of their rooms. Damn kids. Don't tell anyone I told you that you hear me." He looked down at her while she nodded. Vents? What boys? I have so many questions can you give me someone who can answer them? "Don't go thinking you can try it to, bad idea if you get caught."

She was in a cafeteria now, adults scattered around. Sitting in front of her was a boy and a girl, both looking around the same age as Isa. The girl spoke.

"The maze is almost ready, if things keep going as planned then the first group should be going up in a year." The maze, is she talking about the maze I'm in?

"What do you mean? They go up in a year?"

"I don't know about this, it all seems kinda wrong." The boy seemed hesitant on the idea of the maze. "People could die up there." People could die. People have died.

It was dark, it didn't take long for her to realize where she was. It happened every night. Every nightmare sequence ended in the maze, with the griever. She learned to stand still, let it take her. It was over faster that way. The sound of the griever erupted from behind her, she didn't look, she just closed her eyes and took in a deep breath before feeling the griever wrap a limb around her body slamming her to the ground. Everything went black. Darkness turned to sunlight as she woke up. She was sweating and breathing heavily, her body ached as she sat up. The sun shined down on her. I need to leave this tower, I need to leave this tower now.
