The second day in New York and I was exiting the All Def Digital building until I was stopped by Diggy. Oh gosh here we go again.

Stay calm.

"Hey congratulations on getting the job"

Oh. My.Gosh. Those teeth. His smile.

"Thank you" I gave him a small smile.

"Are you going to the promotion party tonight? I'm going to be there"
Is he implying that he wants me to come?
"Um no I have a flight tomorrow"

"So? You got the job. Celebrate. Come on it'll be fun"

"It's about 20 miles from my hotel and a taxi will cost a lot. I'm sorry I wish I could go." Diggy smirked and rolled his eyes.

He reached in his pocket and took out his phone then held it out for me to grab.
"Don't worry I'll pick you up. Just type your name and number and what hotel you are in. I'll pick you up around 7:30"

"Diggy I don't k-"

"You're going and we are going to have a great time"
We? Oh my gosh. Okay Sariyah don't get a head of yourself.
"Thanks Diggy"

"No problem Baby girl"

I melted inside. My whole body froze. He just laughed and walked right passed me. I shook it off and left the building.

I fluffed out my hair and fixed my make -up. Should I change? Is this too casual? Is it too nice? Maybe I should switch up my make-

Knock. Knock.Knock

It's Diggy!
I quickly opened the door and he stood there with roses covering his face.
"Oh hello"
"Hi" I chuckled nervously.

He put the flowers down and handed them to me. "These are for you. Although I already said this but once again, congratulations on the new job."
He flashed those beautiful pearly whites. I put the flowers down on the counter. Weird how he knew my favorite types of flowers. Pink and white roses.

He really must watch my YouTube videos.

We got down to Diggy's car and he opened the door for me and everything. Does he treat every girl like this?
"So what did you do all day yesterday? I mean you stay in a luxurious hotel surrounded by a bunch of places"

"Well ... I called home, and read two books yesterday"

We came to a red stop light. He turned his head and raised his eyebrow.
"Really?"

"Well that is kind of what I do everyday. Except YouTube videos"

"Wow"
He shook his head in disbelief. "Well obviously I can tell you are a very smart girl from the way you talk and plus you read a lot. Why not college?"

"Oh so you do actually watch my videos?"

"Yes."

"Well I just didn't even know what I wanted to be. Plus I love the freedom YouTube gives me. So what's the point of college when I'm already doing what I love?"
Diggy looked at me and shook his head in agreement.

Once we got to the promotion party we kind of spilt our ways. I met some people, made business inquires and made some new friends. Diggy actually introduced me to his whole team and checked up on me occasionally.

I then felt someone lightly tap on my shoulder and I turned around.

"Hi I'm Trevor"

He said smiling at me.
"Hi I'm Sariyah. I know who you are"
He blushed and licked his lips.I shook his hand.

"Congratulations about the new job. Perry told me all about it"

"Perry what?"
Just then Diggy came behind Trevor and put his hand on his shoulder. Trevor sighed and simply walked away.

"What was that all about?"

"You don't want to deal with guys like him. Trust me?"

Okay? What the hell does that mean?
I felt my phone vibrate in my bra and I took it out. Diggy just laughed at me. It was my mom. Uh oh.
"Excuse me".
I walked away from Diggy and straight back to the restroom. "Hello ummu (mom in Arabic)"
"Mommy?" My 3 year old, Joy, daughter said to me.
"Hi baby! Everything alright?"
"Can you tell me a story before I go to sleep?"
She was so annunciated for her age.
"Alright Joy, there once was a frog and ..."

Diggy

About 20 minutes went by and Sariyah finally came out of the bathroom.
"Hey everything all right? You were in there for a while"
"Oh yeah, everything is fine"
My stomach rumbled and I held onto it.
"Man I'm hungry"
"Me too. These D'Oeuvres suck"
I laughed a little.
"How bout we get out of here and go to this burger joint right down the street from here?"

"I would love to"
She smiled and walked in front of me. Gosh she was so beautiful. The pencil skirt she wore complimented her ass so nicely. Each step Sariyah took it jiggled and made me pass out on the inside.

Okay Diggy settle down... Don't get ahead of yourself now.
