The Morning After

I woke up to the smell of pancakes and bacon. I rolled out of bed and covered my naked body with an oversized t-shirt. Ron and I's clothes were all over the floor from last night.

I stretched and walked to the kitchen. There he was. Making breakfast. He was shirtless while cooking. Thank god.

I walked up behind him and hugged him.

"Good morning"
Ugh. His sexy morning voice. I took this moment all in. I mean this could be the last time I'll see him.

"What are you making?"

"Blueberry pancakes. Your favorite"

"Aw you remembered"
He smirked and pecked me on my lip.

"What are Joy's favorite?"

"Chocolate chip"

"When are you going to pick her up?"

"Um... About 30 minutes? I have to drop all of my stuff off at work before"

"I'll make her some then"
I smiled and walked out the kitchen.

"I'm going to get ready okay!" I hollered while walking back to my room.

"Okay"

I got done eating my pancakes and got up to go to the fridge for coffee and opened the microwave. I Saw Joy's breakfast that Ron made. He made a smiley face with bacon and two spoonful's of eggs.

"That is so cute"

He smiled and hugged me. "I'm going to go get all cleaned up and I'll be gone before you come back"

"You sure you don't want to meet Joy"

"As much as I want to I just don't want to see her and get her hopes up"

"I understand... Well I'm going to go"

I hugged him tighter. Once again I started to tear up again.

"Hey, hey, hey, why are you crying?"

"I'm going to miss you"

"I'm going to miss you too. But I promise next time I'll be home for good okay?"

He kissed my forehead.

"Okay"
I slyly smiled and walked to the door and left.

I walked into the building and got on the elevator. "Wait,wait, wait!"

I heard someone shout. It was Diggy...
He squeezed through the doors and looked at me.

"I should've just waited" He mumbled.

"Daniel..."

"What?" He spat.

"I'm sorry about last night-"
He smirked and leaned against the wall. "Yeah okay"

" I am. That guy you saw me with. Things are complicated okay? I didn't mean to hurt you"

He squinted his eyes and examined me.
"Are those hickey's on your neck?"

I quickly covered my neck. "Did you have sex with that dude?"

"Digg I...I"

The elevator door opened and Diggy stepped out.

"I don't wanna hear it. Delete my number hoe"

Hoe? I'm not a hoe!? It's complicated!? You guys understand that right?

I carried Joy in my condo and closed the door with my foot. She was sick last night so she didn't get any sleep and she was knocked out. Ron was still here...

"Hey what are you doing here?"

"I'm waiting for my dad to pick me up... Can I hold her?"

I was taken away by his question.

"Uh yeah... How about you go tuck her in. Her room is down the hall and to the left right by the bathroom"

"Alright"

As he was in Joy's room I could hear him singing softly to her. I smiled and tip toes down the hall and peeped through the door.

He brushed her hair out of her face and Joy didn't move and inch. She was still asleep.

Ron took off his chain his grandfather them gave him before he passed away and put it around Joy's neck. He got up and kissed her forehead and whispered "I love you Joy"

"Well my dad is outside so I guess I'll se you later"

"Alright bye Ron"

"I promise I'll be back soon"

And with that, he left.
