Sariyah

I walked into the All Def Digital office. It reminded me of when I first got my job... When I first met Diggy.

I ran my fingers through my hair and entered Russell's office.

"Hey Sariyah!"

He was in a happy mood.
"I have a proposition for you. My nephew needs a manager just for two days. I know you guys have a thing so I'll let him give you all the information"

He quickly walked out.
"But... Wait..."

It was too late he was already gone I sighed and walked out. I felt my phone vibrate in my back pocket.

It was my best friend Malaysia.
She sent me thousands of text. The first one I saw was "Call me baby doll ;("

I looked through the rest of the text and a picture appeared of Ron kissing some girl. My boyfriend! I looked closely one more time. I tried to keep from crying. I didn't want to believe it but that was pure evidence. I wiped my eyes and tears but they just kept started streaming down my face. I hopped on the elevator and broke down.

"No I'm not working with her!"

"Look I don't care! I need to know that you can work with anyone regardless of your status with them. It's called professionalism. I am giving my company to you because so far you're the only of your siblings that has proved they are ready for this position"

I chuckled.
"What is this? An episode of Empire? When did you turn into Luscious Lyon all of a sudden?"

He laughed and put his hand on my arm.

"I've been Lucious baby... Matter of fact that show is about me!"

He said walking away. Yeah okay, Uncle Russ.

I pushed the elevator and long and behold Sariyah was in there ...

I quickly wiped my tears and my face. "What floor?" I sniffled.

"All the way down... Are you crying?"

"Not like you would care anyway" I stood in front of him.

"Tell me what happened Riy"
He brushed my arm lightly. I cracked a smile. He created a nick name for me.

"Just leave me alone Diggy"

"I'm serious Sariyah tell me"

"I got cheated on okay! You happy!? Huh? You happy that the guy I ditched you for cheated on me!"

I unintentionally exploded. All these emotions just started to come out.

I turned back around a cried silently. Diggy turned me around and hugged me.

"Why does this keep happening to me?"

I sobbed in his chest. I've been cheated on millions of times and I'm fucking tired of it.

Diggy rubbed my back and whispered "sh" in my ear.

He kissed my forehead and looked at me. "I'm so sorry baby girl" he said into my forehead.

"How about we go somewhere. Anywhere you want"
He said wiping my tears with his thumbs.

"Anywhere?"

"Yes" I slightly smiled and embraced this hug.
