Three months into the pregnancy and Kakarot was already struggling to stay around the palace. He found it rather tedious to remain inside with very little to do and sulked at the fact he was alone again as his mate had been sent one of Freiza's assignments. There was an unsettling feeling he had whenever that name was ever brought up. Vegeta spoke little about the assignments, but would have a look of worry heavily etched on his face when he previously returned.

It irked him to an extent that he couldn't be with Vegeta, he felt unsettled and would pace the length of the room. Today, he wanted to do something different, and so he decided to take a tour around the palace, he already drew a mental map of the area from the times he was escorted around the building.

He puffed out his cheeks and raked his fingers through his hair, standing outside one of the rooms he could hear servants talking among themselves. This would be the first time they'd have seen him without a guard by him, he had previously noted down their rota's and knowing the one who covers for afternoon shift would sneak off to the kitchen for a snack as usually Kakarot would have a nap during the day.

Quietly, he opened the door and peeped through the small gap, there he saw two servants laughing and talking among themselves. It was a peculiar sight to see as usually they'd be rushing on their feet with idle expressions. His tail twitched in curiosity, and he stepped inside, interested in what they were laughing about.

"Hey, what are you talking about?" he smiled at the two and furrowed his brows in surprise when the two servants recoiled and quickly went down on one knee.

"Please forgive us! We didn't mean to slack like this!" One servant said.

Kakarot, rather taken back by their reaction, offered his hands to them both to help them back onto their feet.

"I'm not here to punish you," he assured them, "I'm actually wondering what you do around here for fun? I can't bear being unable to train and being stuck in this palace is slowly killing me!" he whined at them.

The two servants looked at each other struggling to process what Kakarot had said, before they simultaneously got up and looked back at Kakarot aghast.

"Um, we are not allowed to have fun. We are here to serve the King, Prince...and yourself," The other servant quietly spoke, tapping their index fingers together.

Kakarot widened his eyes and blinked at them, "Oh," was all he could muster before he sat down on a chair in front of them.

He sighed looking down at his swollen stomach, and reached for his mother's pendant holding onto it and smiled slightly remembering the times he'd play hide-and-seek with his mother. He didn't have many memories of when he was a young cub. Only snippets he had were with his mother. The servants watched as Kakarot tucked the pendant away, and leaned forward resting his head in his hands.

"Have any of you seen--" Letta paused as she rushed in, she had been running around the palace frantically trying to find kakarot, kakarot had learned to lower his ki if he didn't want to be bothered which he was aware annoyed many, Letta being one.

"There you are!" Letta shouted out, she looked over at the two servants who were looking very lost.

The two servants cleared their throats and started to look busy, Letta shook her head laughing at them; before looking back at Kakarot. "You are supposed to be resting!"

Kakarot pulled his hands away from his face looking back at Letta and feigned a smile.

"You know the king will not be happy if he finds out you've been leaving your quarters again," she said sternly, with her hands now rested on her hips.
