While Gine was helping Bardock packing his bag ready for his mission, to which they were informed he'd be gone for a few months. Kakarot rested on his bed swaying his tail back and forth, he peered out his window at the pink sky looking at the various shapes the clouds were forming. It wasn't long ago he had turned seven. Many low-class cubs were lucky to reach that age — if he wasn't born a beta he'd have been on another planet.

Raditz stood by the doorway and watched his brother being engrossed at the sky rather than help their mother pack for their father. "Oh brother of mine" he said in a mischief tone.

Before kakarot could turn to face his brother he was pinned against the wall on the opposite side of his bed. Raditz threw in some punches, Kakarot done his best to block a few and wrapped his tail around Raditz neck hoping he'd surrender his grip to no avail the pair were growling at each other and shouted some insults at each other, this alerted Gine and Bardock and without second thought rushed into the bedroom to see the commotion.

"Raditz that's enough! — You know kakarot is not a warrior!  do that to other fighters your age." Bardock exclaimed and gripped the bridge of his nose.

Raditz gaped back at his father then scoffed as he let go of Kakarot who withdrew his tail from around his neck in return before he stormed past his parents. Gine ran up towards kakarot to check him over and sighed in relief to see there were no markings on him. She pulled him in for a cuddle and frowned soon as Kakarot declined her embrace.

"I'm fine, he didn't really hurt me!" Kakarot reassured his mother.

"That doesn't matter Kakarot, you're too weak to become a warrior like Raditz he could have easily caused serious harm to you!" Bardock perched on the bed looking at his son who looked disheartened that he never even got offered the chance to prove himself.

"My power level has been increasing, mom could see it... I'd just like to be given the chance!" Kakarot pouted.

"No!" Bardock slammed his fist down, "you need to stop going on about this kakarot!"

"Bardock." Gine glanced over at him, he groaned and stared back at Gine then stood up from the bed glancing down at his son. Gine gave Kakarot a modest smile. "Your father is right, you are set for something more special than fighting, trust us." She planted a kiss on Kakarot's cheek before leaving the room with Bardock.

"Gine, this is getting hard. I can see his potential but I don't want to go against the king's wishes. Besides, I know him being mated to that narcissist family will keep him safe."

Gine peered round to where Kakarot's room was before looking back at Bardock, she gave a slight smile in agreement and hugged him. Little did they know, Kakarot had crawled out his bedroom window.

King Vegeta was sitting on his throne and massaging his temples as he listened to his son yelling at him while pacing the width of the room, the prince was furious that he wasn't assigned to do one of Frieza's missions; instead he was demanded to remain in the palace and train.

"I'm just wasting my powers staying here! You've seen what I am capable of, so why won't you allow me to go?!" The Prince snarled, throwing objects across the room.

"You have something more important that will need taking care of here, son! For now, you will train here, you will join in on some purges with the elite warriors; just not too far from home." The king snapped at his son, he was getting fed up negotiating with a moody twelve year old.

"What is this more important thing you speak of?"

"I can't say right now, son!"

"You just can't face the fact that I, your son, the prince of all saiyans is becoming more powerful than you!"
