Five years passed since the announcement on the beta males birth, the King permitted no one to deliberate the beta males forthcoming; he didn't want his son nor the beta to learn he had already established their fate. The beta had been named Kakarot, he stayed with his mother helping with the mundane duties whilst his father and brother were purging with other fighters of the same levels. Whenever his mother was preoccupied, he found it a perfect convenience to flee to a nearby field to train by himself. He had been informed how he was special, and because of his uniqueness he'd never be enabled to fight. He craved it so much. He'd watch in wonderment whenever he saw the elite warriors' return. Everyone idolizes them and he hoped one day he could join them.

His father explained that only those born with high-power levels could join the elite. Those with low-power levels were assigned to harsher worlds, the survival rate was not promising for them, however those that survived and returned would have shown their competence to enlist in the elite.

The King would dispatch the lower warrior class to the harsher planets, while the elite cubs were trained on their home planet.

Sometimes Kakarot would catch a glimpse whenever the elite cubs were sparring in a nearby field. This vexed the guards as they weren't obliged to harm the cub; however Kakarot had been warned many occasions to not go near the elite cubs and most importantly whilst they were training.

Gine returned with worn sacks containing armor that she had not long cleaned. It had been a quiet period in her work, so she had found time to wash the saiyan warrior's armor.

Gine meandered towards the hut she had been working in and spotted her son wasn't there, in trepidation she dropped the sacks onto the ground and cried out her son's name. Her initial thought was perhaps he was playing hide-and-seek, which was a game he played to kill time. She began her frantic search, peeking under the counter, behind the bins, the usual hiding spot her youngest cub hides in. He wasn't there. With a succinct groan Gine pinched the bridge of her nose knowing there was only one other place he would be, "Not again," Gine sighed as she rushed past the other low class saiyans to locate her son.

"He's always up to mischief," one onlooker said while shaking their head at Gine running towards the field.

"He's lucky he's a beta otherwise he'd have been sent off to a hostile planet, and we all know what the outcome of that is," another bystander replied while they prepared the meat ready to be hoisted up to dry.

Gine rushed to the field she knew Kakarot loved to be. There he was practicing his kicks on a rock. She giggled, watching his determined face; he reminded her of his father. She would be more than happy to let him practice to his hearts content, it was unfortunate that she was under strict orders to keep Kakarot by her at all times and to not allow him to fight for he had to be protected.

"Kakarot!" She yelled out and rested a hand on her hip.

Kakarot swiveled to see his mother with a stern demeanor and settled his arms down to his sides while he looked down.
"I'm sorry..."

No matter how upset she got whenever her son disobeyed the rules, she could never stay mad at him. The mischievous glint he had in his eyes reminded her of how Bardock was when they first got together, and the way he would feel bad for upsetting others reminded her of herself. She sprinted over to him, then picked him up. Kakarot wrapped his tail around his waist and glanced at his mother with an apologetic look.

"It's okay, you know the rules. You're lucky it was me that caught you! Come on, I need your help" Gine beamed at her son before heading back to the hut.
